HPV and high grade (severe) dyskarosis

Hello all

I've lurked on mumsnet for over a year now but not been brave enough to post. However I'm hoping someone can calm me down about a recent diagnosis.

As the title says I've had my smear test back with hpv and high-grade (severe) dyskarosis. And honestly it feels like I've been handed a death sentence.
I don't have my colposcopy till next week and I've been googling (probably very unwise) and all I can do is cry. I've also got a 4 month old to take care of and frankly I'm barely functioning.

I'm not scared of the colposcopy more the results.

I'm also beating myself up that 2 years ago I didn't push for further checks when I had bleeding after sex, the consultant said it was cervical erosion. But now my head is all in a spin.

I do have a husband but he's as worried as me, and now also things I put down as due to having a huge baby is bad back etc is actually cancer or something.

I'm sorry if this is so jumbled, my biggest fear is death and this is hitting me hard, despite what the letter says about almost all cases not cancer, it doesn't mean it won't be.

I dont think I once said I didn't respect your reply or reject them 🤔..
My children are fine..they don't see any of my anxiety I would never show them.

I understand what your saying however the leetz treatment normally resolves it in one go I have had 2 now which makes it less common and if they've ckme back that 3 treatments I'll have to go through and that very uncommon so that's what makes me worry

Will you please go see a doctor!

I've had two leetz it makes no difference Joe many someone has or hasn't had, any unexplained bleeding regardless of how long ago a leetz was needs to be checked by a doctor

You can not possibly know either way what's going on if you do not do the obvious and see a doctor.

Well I understand that but you have posted on the 30th April about your concerns again, and prior to that you have been posting about your anxiety.

Personally as if the 30th April if I was concerned about bleeding after sex I would be making a doctor's appointment to talk about this and also explain your concerns in general about your health anxiety.

It is not healthy to be in a constant state of worry posting on an internet forum, most of us aren't doctors and those who are can't diagnose over the internet.

Please make an appointment asap at the doctor's even if it's just to discuss the health anxiety, (I'm not saying dismiss the bleeding , it needs to be checked by a nurse and they should be able to see straight away if anything is obviously wrong) but this level of worry is not healthy.

The top result of googling the symptoms links to this site which is useful and at the bottom talks about side effects. I understand you will be anxious googling but you have gone straight to the worst case scenario in your mind

I no I posted on the 30th however my period followed so I assumed it was that..but then happened again at the end of my period and I dont no it its coincidence or something wrong..I just look for people who had gone through the same thing possibly...im very anxious and if people don't want to reply they don't have too it just helps me hearing people who have gone through things I have
