For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

I saw Nigel Slater doing something very, erm, exciting with brie on his programme ages ago, which involved melting it in the oven and dipping in bread suggestively

lullabyloo · 06/11/2007 15:11

lullabyloo · 06/11/2007 15:12

Yes Lully baking it in the box [excited]

hunkermunker · 06/11/2007 15:31

Alan Rickman went to school with my dad. In same year. So there is no way I could ever find him attractive, smelly or not (although smelly would NOT help), because he's the same age as my dad. Which is nearly 62.

Rape of the oceans, Franny? I'm not up for that, it's quite cold today. And the ocean's far from me. I do use bleach though, occasionally.

lullabyloo · 06/11/2007 15:33

Franny.....yes indeed i believe he was
sends Franny off for cold shower......& take Alan with you & bring him back when he is sweet smelling
I cant be doing with reeking males
at HC though

I sat next to Paul Mcgann once on a tube....he didn't reek

Tatties....we did baked brie at my drinks thingie....they were very good indeed

TigerFeet · 06/11/2007 15:34

@ baked brie

I am far more likely to swoon at lovely calorific baked cheese than at Kevin Spacey/Robert Lindsey. I bet you lot fancy Phil Location Location Location don't you . Am more of a Colin Firth as Mr Darcy fan myself (mmmmm)

lullabyloo · 06/11/2007 15:34

sidles up to Hunker to befriend said father

lullabyloo · 06/11/2007 15:35

hunkermunker · 06/11/2007 15:36

Oh, my dad doesn't know him any more. Sorry. You may continue to sidle though, I don't smell

Tatties · 06/11/2007 15:36

Ooh I like Mr Darcy too Tiger

lullabyloo · 06/11/2007 15:37

TigerFeet · 06/11/2007 15:37

Will you still need me
Will you still feed me
When I'm 64

[off key]

hunkermunker · 06/11/2007 15:38

Aw, come on, I'll make you a mug of root and bark tea and we can talk about vegetables to cheer you up.

FrannyandZooey · 06/11/2007 15:38

HC did not find it a pleasant experience, I can assure you

have been googling for K Spacey / woods revelations no dice

& please no smart arse links to zimmer frames & bed pans & the like thankyou

PossumIsMunchingPumpkins · 06/11/2007 15:39

Toot. I keep meaning to say, your nickname is so 10-10, in Persian it means 'mulberry'.

Tatties, DS is one year old and feeds through the night a lot right now. It is confusing. On one hand I feel exhausted and grumpy but on the other hand when I contemplate the inevitable day when he'll self-wean, I feel all panicky and sad. I keep re-reading bits of Deborah Jackson's book 'letting go as they grow". Example of my conflict - I want DS to become verbal so he and I don't get so frustrated ("the 'ga'??? What is the 'ga'?" Cue me dancing round the kitchen waving a zillion items in the vain hope one of them is the 'ga'. Meanwhile DS gets redder and redder and waves his chubby fists in exasperation at the stupidity of his mother.) Yet I mourn the slipping away of my baby into a little boy. As I said, it makes me feel confused. Wanting his dependency yet also feeling suffocated by his needs. I just try to live in the now and go with the flow....
