For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

BBBee · 09/11/2007 20:06

oddly fz I remember feeling a lot more anxious second pregnancy - maybe it is because you have another child to look after adn it makes it more real or salient - I don;t know - but I was more worried second time.

ahundredtimes · 09/11/2007 20:06

Ah! It was you! I just smiled nicely, but between me and you was nervous behind the sofa with nudging stranger.

BBee. How lovely. How are you? How is course? How quizzical eyebrows?

I thought you kept going to Brighton and getting the crying chocolate?

fullmoonfiend · 09/11/2007 20:08

yes, yes, everyone bring chocolate to the meet-up, crying, conscience or just plain lovely! Please! We will do nice sharing.

(I am not veggie either.)But I do love vegetables and veggie food. If I didn't live with rampant carnivores....

3andnomore · 09/11/2007 20:08

oh Franny....I assume by your last post, that you are pg? Congratulations

Boco · 09/11/2007 20:12

I'm not veggie either. I was for years after Fennel the lamb was eaten, but then i stopped.

I need to try crying chocolate because i still think it must taste like soap. I want to believe.

Also slightly perturbed by the nudging stranger. I glared.

The children are in bed and i'm running a bath and nothing is as bad as it was.

FrannyandZooey · 09/11/2007 20:26

We had our chard frittata with homemade oven chips and a green salad. I had a pear and a large slab of chocolate cake for pudding.

The cake is nearly gone and I need to make dull biscuits next time.

I need to be able to fit into my purple dress in December, at this rate I won;t.

Happy Birthday MrsC! Have a piece of cake, do.
