For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

An no. That was intergalactic walrus, she did introduce me to mn, i met her in birmingham once, but we are not at all related.

ahundredtimes · 06/11/2007 21:13

Oh. Okay.

the step-sister is a mystery then. Are we meant to call you Boecoe? Though I'm sure she'd know you'd be over here in bed with Franny wouldn't she?

TheArtistFormerlyKnownAsBoecoe · 06/11/2007 21:13

It's ok, i realised after 2 minutes it was never going to work. I just wanted one last share.

FrannyandZooey · 06/11/2007 21:15

Pink I agree whole heartedly, what a sensible lady you are

we need a Franny's antenatal section, I shall ask Tech tomorrow

(I haven't really looked at the antenatal thread but they are a bit scary, aren't they? All those funny titles about minty sperm and hundreds of people no-one has ever heard of posting on them. I did in fact think of starting my own for ANYONE, not just July people, but then I thought you lot keep me busy and happy enough really. If I could just shut up about being pg that would help, wouldn't it?)

ahundredtimes · 06/11/2007 21:16

Oh dear. Do you want my hood and cloak?

I'd hate it if anyone I knew and knew who I was came on and told me they'd read it. It would take the fun out of it somehow.

ahundredtimes · 06/11/2007 21:17

I LOVE the fact you are pg. I want to talk about it for MONTHS.

FrannyandZooey · 06/11/2007 21:18

I think in the long run you have to assume that people you know are going to come on here and read your stuff. Then you have to decide what you are going to do about it - ie, not give a stuff and carry on sharing, or edit everything wildly. I decided to just carry on and hope that people will have the wit to keep it to themselves because I DON'T want to know if you have spotted me, really. I like to pretend I am anonymous. It is a bit different when it is a family member, though. I would have to leave then, I suppose.

100 come under the duvet and we shall whisper and giggle about it

OP posts:
ahundredtimes · 06/11/2007 21:21

is there any ice cream left?

Am to pacey and anxious to get under the duvet. I will wave my hands about and annoy everyone and let the cold air in.

FrannyandZooey · 06/11/2007 21:22

shall I get some pizzas while I am at it?

Oh no Franny - don't shut up about being pregnant - we all want to hear about it ALL! It's very exciting and we'll feel cheated if you go off and talk about it somewhere else instead.

But in return i have to be able to talk about my rash ok? I want some alternative remedies as i'm getting fed up.

I first got it about 6 months ago - it's like urticaria - big nettle rash everywhere but always starts on my tummy - then chest and neck and scalp and then legs and arms - and then it goes like excema. It looked shocking last time, and the doctor thought it was scabies and i had to treat whole family with these chemicals that gave the children rashes and it wasn't that. I've had steroid creams x2, wash stuff, piriton, betnovate, epiderm, - the rash has flared up again now and its SSSOOOOO ITCHY it drives me nuts. Dr has now given me new antihistamine tablets to take for a month, plus antibiotic cream because i've scratched my sides so much in the night that it's infected.

Dr says he thinks it's stress related because last time this happened we were having MRI scans for dd2 and talk of scary things and waiting for results, and this time dp is not well and stressful. But that's just annoying as i'd like to just be allergic to ...say...guava or something.

What can i do healthy people?
(thank you if you read all that)

ahundredtimes · 06/11/2007 21:24

Yes, why not? You're pregnant and I'm keeping you company.

What was the film like in the end? I liked that book. I'd completely forgotten about it until you mentioned it. I liked the cover, and it was so camp and smart wasn't it?

ahundredtimes · 06/11/2007 21:25

Oh Boco. Is DP in a bad way then?

You'd better see a homeopath maybe? Where's TooT, she knows about these things.

Are you stressed?

Is it like hives?

pinkspottywellies · 06/11/2007 21:26

No No! Don't shut up about being pregnant Franny! It's so exciting and we want to bustle and share the excitment with you

A rl friend started coming on here (I told her about it) and I recognised her after randomly seeing a post. I told her I thought I knew who she was because I thought it would be awful to think you were anonymous but not be. I told her who I am too. I hope I did the right thing now

FrannyandZooey · 06/11/2007 21:29

Oh dear, it does sound a bit like awful stress doesn't it? I would treat for stress and see if it improves it. Oh god I don't know Boco I am sorry

100 we only watched first half so far, film is soo long. Very good so far and has The Lady Chablis as herself [scary] Dp definitely fancies K Spacey in it. I loved the book and bought it for everyone at the time. Am going to have to read it again after the film. Can I go and move to the deep South do you think? I like the accent very much.

OP posts:
pinkspottywellies · 06/11/2007 21:30

Oh you've all rushed onto a new subject and I'm late again

Sorry to hear about your rash Boco I have no idea about these things but I hope you get it sorted. Although it does sound like a stress thing and you can't just 'not be stressed'.

TheArtistFormerlyKnownAsBoecoe · 06/11/2007 21:30

Yes it starts like hives, then looks more like bright red excema. I don't know how to spell that - eczema? yes.

Yes, dp isn't well. He's been in bed since 8, having come home and insisting on cooking, then burning everything to charcoal, then getting furious because the children didn't want to eat black dust. And at work they've 'asked' him to take time off. He had a row with someone, and last week he threw a phone across the room in the office. I'm still struggling with getting him back to the dr.

And that is stressful, and i feel stressed about that - but not coming up in hives type stress.

pinkspottywellies · 06/11/2007 21:31

I've been eating ginger nuts and now my coffee tastes funny

FrannyandZooey · 06/11/2007 21:32

I think it is spelt exczema

no that looks awful

wouldn't it be good in S%£$"*e though?

OP posts:
FrannyandZooey · 06/11/2007 21:34

I think though Boco a rash or illness can be a physical way of expressing stress that you are not allowing yourself to feel or admit to

does that sound annoying bollocks?

but you know, you have got loads of stressy things atm, and you are coping, and coping, and getting on with it, and your body is saying "STOP FOR A MINUTE AND LOOK AT THIS! FFS THIS IS A MESS!"

that may be completely wrong of course

OP posts:
ahundredtimes · 06/11/2007 21:38

Hmmm. Okay. Pursue alternative routes maybe as ask the doctor to test your for allergies? Then at least you can tick guava off the list?

Sorry to hear about dp. It's been building hasn't it? Does he have anyone he sees and talks to regularly - not GP?

IdrisTheDragon · 06/11/2007 21:44

Hello again.

Train like person (can't work out if you would prefer us to use your name or not) that sounds very stressful for you. As someone on the other side of it, I was recently very glad when DH pointed out to me that I was showing signs of being depressed (although not at the time).

I was confining my anger to home rather than work (just ambling along at work) though. Is he going to take time off?

We are maybe about to eat some food. It seems a little delayed tonight.

IdrisTheDragon · 06/11/2007 21:45

Ah yes here it is

TheArtistFormerlyKnownAsBoecoe · 06/11/2007 21:52

Oh dr is referring me to dermatologist if this cream and pills combo doesn't work. And they can do allergy testing. You might be right franny, but i don't like the idea because i don't what i could do about it. And it makes my body feel a bit like it's not my friend.

Anyway, you've been very nice listening to my rash story.

Tatties · 06/11/2007 21:57

Oh dear I don't think I can keep up tonight. Thank you for comforting words about ds's sleep. I have just been putting him to bed for ages. I am going to get some chocolate cake
