For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

You must spill about RL.

ahundredtimes · 06/11/2007 17:37

Portions?

Right. 12 satsumas orange juice, no lunch but are having brussel sprouts, broccoli and roasted sweet pot for supper, with garlic chicken.

how many is that?

Also dd and I went to buy 2 pomegranates after school, we are eating them for pudding. I have never eaten one. I have to scroll down to look for FMF's instructions.

Do you know what I love? Fresh figs.

Gossip will have to wait for meet-up. Oh no, I'm not coming am I?

lullabyloo · 06/11/2007 17:38

LOL. You sound like me F&Z.

I have been known to say 'I really can't think of anything else to say about this.'

Can we have a mini hurrah for ds1. He has come home with a Chess award AND a man of the match certificate. The chess thing is a large red pawn on a pedestal, and is not nearly as exciting as the man of the match award, because he's all chuffed about it and I'm proud of him because he persisted and didn't give up, and has been brave about team sports.

FrannyandZooey · 06/11/2007 17:48

a whole cauliflower

you will be fragrant tomorrow LL

ahundredtimes · 06/11/2007 17:49

Not about the portions, no, no. About the boots thing.

Where IS Boco?

FrannyandZooey · 06/11/2007 17:49

wooo wooo for chess and man of the match!

(should it not be "person of the match"?

OP posts:
FrannyandZooey · 06/11/2007 17:50

yy I got the boots thing

Boco's pc is buggered isn't it and her dsis is having a disaster. I presume one or other or both are interfering with her leisure pursuits

ahundredtimes · 06/11/2007 17:51

Oh. How thoughtless of them. I want her to come back. I bet all her drawers are incredibly tidy now.

hunkermunker · 06/11/2007 17:52

I've seen Robert Lindsay. He's very short.

hunkermunker · 06/11/2007 17:54

And hurrah for 100's DS1!

TooTicky · 06/11/2007 17:59

Oh well done 100x's ds1

I have had possibly 4 portions today. But I have been busy and baking and walking and stuff.

ahundredtimes · 06/11/2007 17:59

You're all so kind. So kind.

I feel like my grandmother. I AM my grandmother actually. If she thought she wasn't getting sufficient attention she would turn to the person next to her and say 'Have I ever told you about the time I studied economics in Geneva?' when of course she had never done anything of the sort.

Right. Thank you for cheers. As we were.

lullabyloo · 06/11/2007 17:59

hurrah 100x ds

oh I am incredibly sweet smelling Franny

ds has just begged for a tin of kidney beans.......is this an odd thing for a child to crave/get tearful about?
His supper is ready & he is demanding the whole tin in a bowl to eat with it
????????

TigerFeet · 06/11/2007 18:02

bugger, outsatsuma'd by 100x (well done small 100 )
