For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

But alcohol is only briefly nice. Then it makes everything worse.

MrScarRot · 30/10/2007 22:20

Do you really, Toot?

MrScarRot · 30/10/2007 22:20

So does cake...

ahundredtimes · 30/10/2007 22:21

I'm not DRUNK TooT, heaven forfend. No, it is a small restorative cocktail. Oh yes.

MrScarRot · 30/10/2007 22:21

it can't be all slow release fun

ahundredtimes · 30/10/2007 22:22

So you dreams TooT, these secret dreams. What happens when you find lentil fibre then?

ahundredtimes · 30/10/2007 22:24

Oh dear, you've all gone. I must go to bed. I am reading an AWFUL book, shall I ditch it? I always feel obliged to read to the end, even if I'm hating it. It seems impolite not to.

Tatties · 30/10/2007 22:24

Ooh Avi do the pumpkin! Are you having disturbed nights too? Ds is very restless and feeding a lot in the early hours atm, quite knackering. He is also very tantrum-y atm, which I don't quite know how to take. Naturally I always think there is something I am doing wrong, but I am also thinking there is a lot going on developmentally which may be making him more unsettled/whingey

It is hard being 2 1/2 I think

MrScarRot · 30/10/2007 22:25

are you making another one or shall I put the kettle on?

MrScarRot · 30/10/2007 22:26

I NEVER finish a book if I'm not enjoying it, life is too short and there are too many books.

Tatties · 30/10/2007 22:26

If it's awful 100, ditch it. I can't carry on with a book unless it's gripping me

MrScarRot · 30/10/2007 22:26

I do give it a good chance though

MrScarRot · 30/10/2007 22:27

My, I'm a bit parched

Tatties · 30/10/2007 22:27

Ooh MrsC I'll have a cuppa to take up if there's one going

MrScarRot · 30/10/2007 22:27

fennel tea it is then

TooTicky · 30/10/2007 22:27

I didn't suspect you of drunkenness 100x. It's just that I've found that alcohol makes me feel really shitty, physically and mentally. It was a hard lesson to learn. I never thought I'd be a non-drinker, but - well, I seem to be atm.

Yes, the lentil thing. When people talk about lentil weavers, I'd love to be able to whip out a piece of lentil fabric and say Ner. Or something.

MrScarRot · 30/10/2007 22:28

oh, yes, Tatties, hello

The was for 100x hot air promises of cocktails

MrScarRot · 30/10/2007 22:29

round these parts it is the brown rice brigade not lentil weavers, I hadn't heard that before mnet

Tatties · 30/10/2007 22:29

I don't like fennel [fussy]

MrScarRot · 30/10/2007 22:30

Oh.

TooTicky · 30/10/2007 22:30

I like fennel.

Tatties · 30/10/2007 22:30

I am always wanting to say lentil weaver in RL but have to restrain myself in case I give the game away

MrScarRot · 30/10/2007 22:30

How about white tea with a hint of pomegranate?

TooTicky · 30/10/2007 22:31

Can I have both?

MrScarRot · 30/10/2007 22:31

pEPPERMINT?
