For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

That sounds exciting Avi, will you tell us? I still want to know where you live too. [stalker]

FrannyandZooey · 30/10/2007 21:00

I just paid £165 for ONE month's organic stuff

dp will be pleased when he sees that in the cheque book

avi what what what is the exciting career change? Can I come and do it too?

pinkspottywerewolf · 30/10/2007 21:11

Yes I want to know where avi lives too [nosey]

That's about my shopping budget for the month at the minute I need to find out if there's a 'weigh and save' type shop around here.

Boco, dp sounds like he's being an arse. What happened with the late night rock climbing? Do you think he's asserting his independence!?

I must sort out a veg box, I must, it has been over £150 in the supermarkets recently. No good at all.

I have three different apples sliced on a plate and I am eating them slowly, identifying the type as I munch it. Very sad isn't it.

I am also looking at Sylvanian families on e-bay. I was hoping for a bargain. So is everyone else it would seem.

TooTicky · 30/10/2007 21:45

I've been looking on ebay for little boots for dd2. Few and far between though - I want Startrite because their size 5 is just perfect atm.

Will be passing Yarnbrook tomorrow - going to Monkey World (free admission for those in costume!) via the lovely organic shop at Longbridge Deverill.

Franny, you must not desert us for another thread. This is where you belong and we love you. So there.

FrayedKnot · 30/10/2007 21:46

Oh yes summer baby - outdoor b/f without having to wear a thermal vest with holes cut in it / have wind whipping round your nethers!

Franny you will not stop us bouncing on the sofa, not for aaaages yet (really meaning ever, but not wanting to frighten Franny at this stage)

FrannyandZooey · 30/10/2007 21:48

oh I just think occasionally people might want to come on here and read about fruit without listening to me blethering about my piles or something

just a possibility

OP posts:
TooTicky · 30/10/2007 21:51

Does anybody come on here to read about fruit?

MrScarRot · 30/10/2007 21:52

have you got piles already?

ahundredtimes · 30/10/2007 21:52

No, that is highly unlikely.

Am I really to be in charge of your vegetarian pregnancy diet? Do you have any idea just how rash and insane an idea this is? lolololol

I feel like SK.

I am tired. I feel really, really tired. And am expected to help at a Halloween party tomorrow, to go to someone's 40th on Friday AND to a grown-up Halloween party on Saturday. I don't want to do any of it. I want to shut the door and sit in the dark and tell myself jokes.

FrayedKnot · 30/10/2007 21:53

Now Franny (sits her down on a comfy cushion) as you know I have recent experience in that very delicate area, so can offer much advice.

OK fruit, fruit, er...I ate a satsuma! And grapes!

FrannyandZooey · 30/10/2007 21:53

they might do

ahundredtimes · 30/10/2007 21:54

I am drinking a cocktail called a Stilletoe. It is v. delicious and was served at dh's 40th and we have just sort of carried on drinking it, it has a slice of lime in, if that helps.
