For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

I love textiles. Wish I could sew.

TooTicky · 30/10/2007 22:52

How old is he Lionheart? Do you play with fire? I let my older three do heavily supervised things with matches and candles on an old baking tray sometimes when dd2 is sleeping.

MrScarRot · 30/10/2007 22:52

I am afraid they are from Somerfields though

My day was fine really, a little dull. i have lost a coat, a gold very Autumnal one that I was too fat for last ear and now I don't know eher it is and I want it.

I turned out lots of cupboards and then had to put it all away. Very tiresome.

lionheart · 30/10/2007 22:53

He is 2.4. We sometimes have fires which we love, I should get one of those thingies we were all talking about the other day.

TooTicky · 30/10/2007 22:54

Ds1 had a big fireman phase when he was 2-3. All firemen were called Sams. He had beloved toy Sams. He moved onto police after that, then mayors and kings. Now he's 8 it's Elvis

MrScarRot · 30/10/2007 22:54

lionheart · 30/10/2007 22:55

MrScarRot · 30/10/2007 22:55

aaaaargh MY

lionheart · 30/10/2007 22:56

Elvis at 8 is pretty cool.

MrScarRot · 30/10/2007 22:56

I am very tired, I should go to bed

This is also why I could never be an editor - my presentation of work was always shite.

lionheart · 30/10/2007 22:57

You have been multi-tasking, with biscuits and tea and stuff.

TooTicky · 30/10/2007 23:00

Dd2 has just weeed rather spectacularly in my lap.

lionheart · 30/10/2007 23:03

All this talk of tea and putting out fires.

MrScarRot · 30/10/2007 23:04

Yes, I have also been trying to unblock a duct with a needle and it sprayed over my screen. Nice.

Toot - oh dear, um, why is she on your lap at 11pm, is she still ill?

MrScarRot · 30/10/2007 23:08

I am going to roll up to bed in my silk/velvet combo and think about cocktails and pimpkins

Night all

lionheart · 30/10/2007 23:11

Duct? Needle? As in body and pain?

Holy Moly I must go to bed. Good night.

FrannyandZooey · 31/10/2007 07:28

Oh no I seem to have to go to bed about 10 pm all the time now and you are up all night having tea and talking ducts

ducts? Jesus

It is Halloween! I still don't have a Halloween name I like but the house is full of garish shiny spooky things and I get to slather on lots of make up in the name of witchery, and we are going to have a FIRE in the FIRE [demonic glee]

Good morning .

I wonder why it is that whenever I go to bed early there is converstaion on here, and whenever I go to bed late there is no one here. Are the two connected [worried )?

(not really worried by the way)

Yesterday was a good day. I am hoping today will be the same .

lionheart · 31/10/2007 09:13

Hello.

I am wondering if I can fob DS off with a fire and spells instead of trick or treating. He is keen.

Tatties · 31/10/2007 09:17

Happy halloween all. I am looking very pumpkin-like in orange today

What was the verdict on sparkly t-shirts then?

Overrun · 31/10/2007 09:22

Morning all. Could it be the news of a good friends pregnancy might bring me back into the fold?
Congratulations again Franny I am also feeling inspired by all the lovely Autumanal veg and nice heart warming dishes.
I have had pears and museli for breakfast and have made some lettuce and pea soup for lunch (yes I know thats not very Autumanal)
We are going to a farm this morning that hold a pumpkin workshop, so hopefully that will be fun. I might try and salvage the pumpkin pulp and have a go at making pumpkin muffins or something like that.

Bocoreepy · 31/10/2007 09:24

Hello, i went to bed at half nine last night and slept until half eight this morning - feel so so much better. I don't think i've ever had this much sleep. dd2 is good too, she's bouncing around and hungry - hooray. ONly the tonsils still playing up today, dd1 is weepy and angry because it's halloween and she's dressed as a witch with nowhere to go. She keeps standing at the window saying 'is it only me having NO FUN AT ALL!!'.

MrScarRot · 31/10/2007 09:58

Urrgh - duct surgery was too late this time, was up in the night with shivers and sure enough left breast looks like it's been felt tipped again.

I am wondering if I did something in a past life, like tipping a bucket of water over a feeding woman or something.

Glad you feel better, Boco. Can you make up some spells and halloween games to do with DD? Slightly better but still quite ill children are hard work. Hope you have a nice day.
