For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

I am pretending to teach again. Although not right now.

IdrisTheDragon · 03/10/2007 19:15

The food here is Not Good. This is a pity.

IdrisTheDragon · 03/10/2007 19:16

I am waffling on. This is also a little pitiful.

Lullabyloo · 03/10/2007 19:16

Lion do you mean the facebook bunny? Are you on facebook? I think that's the only way you can see him. And several thousand pigs.

I am so bored of revising, and i'm only 1/3 of the way through the book.

OP posts:
lionheart · 03/10/2007 19:53

Yes, the face book bunny. Are you sure you can't set him free?

lionheart · 03/10/2007 19:54

Is this driving stuff?

Boco · 03/10/2007 19:56

I'm not sure, maybe i could try..

yes, theory test at ten tomorrow - left it until the last possible moment as usual and now trying to work through 2034 questions. I'm on number 174.

OP posts:
lionheart · 03/10/2007 19:57

Oh crappity. Questions about sheep in the road and suchlike?

ahundredtimes · 03/10/2007 19:59

Okay.

You come to a roundabout. Which lane do you need to be in to turn right at the roundabout?

Left.

Right.

In the middle.

No lane required.

lionheart · 03/10/2007 20:01

Right but roud-i-bouts are tricky.

Boco · 03/10/2007 20:04

Yes, - the ridiculous answers are the only think keeping me going, like what should you do if you have had a big argument before a long journey
a. calm down
b. drive very fast
c. have an alcoholic drink to steady your nerves.

ahundredtimes · 03/10/2007 20:06

lol lionheart - that was for Boco. lol

Oh you'll be okay. It's easier than you think, and actually most signs are there to HELP you and are therefore quite simpe. Circle, triangle etc.

Like I say, I just got confused with the motorway one, because I couldn't work out what I should do.

I passed the theory by one point only, so I'm not really the person to talk to.

Get dp to test you.

Boco · 03/10/2007 20:09

ah yes, right, i know that one. Stopping distances and breaking distances - i can't even guess! What's the difference - how many different numbers do i have to remember?

And flashing lights - different colours, identify which 4 vehicles have blue flashing lights - dp was asleep last night and i woke him at midnight to explain - and gave him a list of
mountain rescue
bomb disposal
animal ambulance
doctor car
some others

and he was deeply asleep and said 'well it's not animal ambulances, they don't exist' and i said 'really?' and he said 'what, like mice driving little ambulances? no! of course not!' and went back to sleep.

Hello all

I love boys too, but I am biased

LL I'm sorry to hear about your hair

I have had an apple, veg & lentil soup, cucumber, roasted vegetables.

Could do better

MrsCarrot · 03/10/2007 20:14

I also love boys and girls but I am biased. Girls are harder work I think. Well, my DD is.

Boco - Have you done any online practise tests?

Boco · 03/10/2007 20:20

Yes, there are only 2 that are free. I failed the first and passed the second. Then the computer crashed, and so i couldn't find out which answers i'd got wrong or right - so i did the test again, and it crashed before i'd finished, so i swore and ate some bourbon biscuits and drank a glass of wine and looked at mn and tried to free the rabbit from facebook.

OP posts:
MrsCarrot · 03/10/2007 20:23

Oh! Um, guess you'll have to stick with the book then, how annoying of your computer to crash at this crucial time. Why does the rabbit need freeing, does he not like facebook?

MrsCarrot · 03/10/2007 20:26

I quite like bourbons, but what I really fancy is one of the old fashioned jammie dodgers, what are they called? Crawford's Jam Rings, that's it. My ceiling rose looks a bit like a Crawford Jam Ring.

I'm full of fascinating conversation tonight aren't I

You're not huffy, that's the important thing. My computer still crashes roughly every 10 minutes. Very annoying. I'm getting all itchy about stopping distances - i don't understand.

OP posts:
Boco · 03/10/2007 20:32

You're so mysterious Avi.

ahundredtimes · 03/10/2007 20:35

No, not just the weather. Also this talk of the sea, and wide open spaces (both inside your house and out), and land for sale to build eco-house, and oh, I don't know. Where do you live? On an island somewhere? Please say yes.

MrsCarrot · 03/10/2007 20:36

Every ten minutes, that must be infuritating? Lo banged on my laptop yesterday and turned it portrait instead of landscape and I didn't know how to turn it it. Also the curser went the opposite way to what you thought it would so I had a cricked neck and doing anything was like the krypton factor. I felt like smashing it. It's better now.
