For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Will you please stop with the nappy thing. It's just not nice.

Are you sure Franny? How about this bit: 'I told TB we HAD to be working towards the Big Idea. Our message was just not getting across. I am TIRED and OBSESSED and ANGRY and ODDLY ATTRACTIVE.'

ahundredtimes · 27/08/2007 00:27

Boco - all your friends come to see you when they've broken up with someone. Have you noticed this? Your nit friend did too.

I'm going to come and visit you when I feel sad.

FrannyandZooey · 27/08/2007 00:27

i have to go now as ds has left a bird song cd on loop and is driving me nuts.

tommorrow I will strive for more vegetables as the fruits are a bit dominant. Will do tatties curry.

ahundredtimes · 27/08/2007 00:28

Out Atavar could be young and smooth. I might insist on him being called Greg though.

FrannyandZooey · 27/08/2007 00:28

thank god I only said that twice

it would have been embarrassing if I had said it 3 times

Nit friend hadn't broken up, she was just having second thoughts and work trouble. But generally yet, we're like some kind of broken heart retreat, we feed people and take them on jolly family outings to the beach and they wear their shades and sit in the garden and are tearful and in the evenings we Talk. It's good. When they're happy and fulfilled and in wonderful relationships they stay in London and go to exciting parties. I hate it when that happens.

ahundredtimes · 27/08/2007 00:32

That used to happen to me. I had ds way before any of my friends. Also - SHOCKING SHARING CONFESSION - we did actually go and live in the countryside for a bit. This is why I hate it so much. They'd come and say 'isn't it peaceful' and things like that and 'can I have a towel'. And 'what time does ds1 go to bed?'

I kind of hated the role I was forced into, all jolly and sensible and Anne-like.

Lullabyloo · 27/08/2007 09:11

Beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee......I want to come & make jams & jellies

It's beautifully sunny,ds is chomping at the bit to go on an adventure....dh is working in the turret...pooh

at living in Bognor franny...feels like the depths of beyond...I get the shudders everytime we go there

Am so looking forward to going to Devon in a few weeks,I just know though that my rotten body & crummy dr's are probably going to scupper my plans.

I have no trousers/jeans left that fit,as quick as I purchase them, they are falling off...ho hum

mango/passionfruit/banana smoothie & blackberry,raspberry,strawberry,blueberry,pear,mint salad & brazil nuts.

Lullabyloo · 27/08/2007 09:12

I'll come & visit you franny

ahundredtimes · 27/08/2007 09:26

Have had spelt muesli with raspberries and yoghurt for breakfast, and a glass of orange juice, and a pear.

Have just told ds's they can go to the park together on their own. This is the first time. I feel slightly sick. I was very brave and said 'Oh yes, go on then' but then had to rush after ds1 and say 'You have to stick with ds2. He doesn't always know where things are and he'll get lost.'

Oh dear.

Lullabyloo · 27/08/2007 09:51

How old are they 100x?

ahundredtimes · 27/08/2007 09:52

9 and 7. (Nearly 10 and 8).

Hmm.

ahundredtimes · 27/08/2007 09:53

Perfectly old enough do you think LL? It's early, it'll be quite quiet, they only have to cross one road and, and and

ahundredtimes · 27/08/2007 09:54

Yes, of course. Looking at it written down like that, they're bloody ancient aren't they?

Only it's a city park, and it's big and oh I don't know, a ten minute walk through the park to the playground.

Lullabyloo · 27/08/2007 09:58

100x....just seen the thread on same subject
ds is only 3 so not something i've had to deal with yet...but you know your children, they are of an an age when I hope ds will have the freedom to explore by himself & they are together.

Lullabyloo · 27/08/2007 09:58

it's hard...i know

ahundredtimes · 27/08/2007 10:01

Yes. But also rather wonderful - if they come back in one piece at the right time. I want them to do it but I just feel sick.

Okay. I'm going to do more cleaning. Displacement activity to take my mind off it.

Lullabyloo · 27/08/2007 10:07

i'm hopeless,ds starts nursery next week for two mornings a week...it's a glorious montessori with huge garden, summerhouse, maypole, swing in apple tree, rabbits, wooden adventure playground, organic food etc etc....he's soooooo ready it's not true & so excited......but i'm trembling in my boots.....

which reminds me...name tags...name tags...must sew name tags

and....someone talk nursery vouchers to me

filthymindedvixen · 27/08/2007 10:11

Gah! I should have joined the 10/10 sleepover last night instead of trying to sleep through ds and his pal ''being quiet'' until 12.30 when I lost any pretence of being calm, lovely, laidback mama and became a little shrill
And then they awoke at 6am...

What shall I do today? I'd love to go to allotment but dh wants to Do Something in honour of the bank hol. Which will mean rubbing shoulders with vast swathes of sweaty humanity and their children.

I'd like to go to another river and do more swimming but last time we fell foul of a rather territorial carthorse who tried to eat sausages off the bbq!! And did lots of Intimidation in a ''Get Orf My Land'' sort of way

filthymindedvixen · 27/08/2007 10:12

LL I think I'd like to live at your son's montessori nursery, it sounds divine!

pinkspottywellies · 27/08/2007 10:24

Oh no! I'm going out now to Do Something for the bank hol and I'm already about 100 posts behind! Wait for me.... I'll catch up tonight!
