For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Lullabyloo · 09/08/2007 17:12

god....have been sooooooo low & scared...so many strange things happening...but only one day to go before see cardio vascular surgeon who is supposedly one of the best in the country.....so hopefully I'll be in good hands.
You are sweet..thankyou
just wish i knew if the horrid pain on the side of my back was connected

FrannyandZooey · 09/08/2007 17:14

Ooh yes I presumed it would be a daytime meet with children, I know you are all weirdy extended breastfeeders

I do have a cunning plan however that those that want to can stay in a hotel and sneak out later leaving children with spouses

it's a daring plan I know but we might just pull it off

BBBee · 09/08/2007 17:19

"I do have a cunning plan however that those that want to can stay in a hotel and sneak out later leaving children with spouses"

Franny that is exactly what I was thinking

FMV we would possibly drive so could offer you a lift if we do? (car is only little though)

Poor you LL

Avi sorry to hear about constipation again - we are trying to help ds with lactulose with varying success. I am just hoping he grows out of it eventually, but it is very hard to deal with in the meantime.

Boco · 09/08/2007 17:49

Not that I've given this non-existant meet-up any thought at all

Lullabyloo · 09/08/2007 19:20

BBBee · 09/08/2007 20:22

3andnomore · 09/08/2007 20:29

Hi again,
friend is being brought home by my dh now....was so nice to have her here...will be odd for a bit being without her again....we are very good friends (her almost ex dh and my dh are in the same regiment...known eachother since Cyprus, so, about 8 years now....) She lives now up in Grimsby and we obviously are down here in Corby....)...anyway...mihgt start eating a bit better again, lol....!
As for meet up....mihgt try to come without Kids, lol....but that is just because well, it would be a nice break for me....of course would love to meet all your Kids
Oh, as for my f&v count...can add a portion of mushrooms and tomatoes and 1/2 a portion pepper to it....
So, not brilliant today, lol!
Must go shopping and buy f&v...that would help, wouldn't it, lol!

pinkspottywellies · 09/08/2007 20:34

I bought peaches the other day that looked fine but are all brown inside
But today I have had raisins, melon, plum (ok half a plum, shared with dd), cucumber, half a tomato (dd seriously reduces my intake!), mushrooms and onions in casserole with quinoa (I'm a recent convert), and I will have an apple and some juice.
I also walked at my newfound faster walking pace!

BBBee · 09/08/2007 20:54

would love a meet up in any guise. Loved meeting boco.

I am really fat. I know we don't weight obsess on this thread but scales almost groaned this evening.

also am meeting old friend and her family in a couple of weeks and didn't plan on looking - well - fat.

So shall I have nothing but protein shakes for the next 11 days?
