so we are doing this

I have so far drunk lemon water, green tea, and Rooibosh with rice milk

I have had the worst muesli known to man

did enjoy my rye bread and asparagus and poached egg for lunch

tonight it is salmon with broccoli and kale (looking forward to this)

but I do want to go to sleep

if the devil were here right now I would hand over all my chocolate for the next 5 years in exchange for a latte

I have just remembered why I don't eat broccoli too much, in large quantities it makes me very bloated and ill

now I am bloated and ill

and I have just reread Joshi's info on candida (ie thrush) and I can't have sodding goat's cheese either

was so cross I had some goats cheese on oatcakes

Had a poached egg for breakfast and a banana.2 herbal teas would like a normal tea but can't do without milk and sugar in it.Even when I have done strict diets before that has been my one thing I couldn't give up so am going to reintroduce it after a few weeks

Enid · 30/05/2007 10:44

arent detoxes a load of bolleaux?

noddyholder · 30/05/2007 10:52

I don't think they can really detox you as it is a media term that we have all bought into but I do think you can rid your body of all the crap and make it look and operate better. My stomach is so much flatter after 2 days and i just feel 'lighter'

Cappuccino · 30/05/2007 16:43

I just want to be dethrushed

I don't actually give a monkeys about the toxins

I am bored now there is nothing to snack on

I am pig sick of oatcakes and it is only day 4

(did have nice asparagus and spinach soup though could not believe how virtuous I was being)

Enid · 30/05/2007 19:26

cant you just cut out sugar for thrush?

and yeast?

Pollyanna · 30/05/2007 20:11

oh bugger, dh took me and kids out for tea. (it was my birthday yesterday so he thought it would be a nice treat).

Detox will start properly tomorrow!

(I'm so bad at this...)

noddyholder · 31/05/2007 08:58

dp got up for work and I had a lie in.He has left me PORRIDGE!!!!!!!!!!!

Cappuccino · 31/05/2007 09:23

Enid you are not helping

Pollyanna never mind - hope you had a nice tea out

noddy didn't your dp have some potato tho - he is cheating

last night I had brussels sprouts and pecans from a recipe out of the book it was actually okay, particularly when you think that it was the only thing I had for my tea - big plate of sprouts. Dh looked up from his spag bol, had a taste and said 'those are nice, they'd be great with turkey at Christmas'

had a bit of a panic last night when thinking about taking lunch to work - I have got two eggs and some rye bread (yum to latter) so will make scrambled eggs in microwave. And carrot and hummous for snack. However the office I'm in today makes the best coffee - might find some of my handy rice milk slipping into a cup if I am not very strong

tonight dh is working so am going to make dahl I think

Don't know what to have tonight.Porridge was ok actually with water and rice milk.Need to make more houmous. Can't stop farting luckily dp is the same!I love brussel sprouts though so willtry them.I have finally realised that buying and reading the book is not enough I have to actually do it!

Cappuccino · 31/05/2007 09:30

what are you making your houmous out of? I have bought mine (though no sugar in it) because I remember a far back houmous experiment that went Terribly Wrong

Have a recipe from the planet organic cookbook which uses lemon instead of vinegar. There is a vegi health shop in our road that sells it so I am going to go and look at the ingredients this morning and if its ok I will buy it otherwise am cooking today as I need to make soup.

Cappuccino · 31/05/2007 11:48

would be very interested in recipe if you ever have a minute

dd loves it too

noddyholder · 31/05/2007 13:46

2 tins of chick peas,6 tablespoons of tahini paste,2 chopped fine garlic cloves (I use lazy stuff)2 tablespoons sesame oil and a whole big lemon juiced.Add a teaspoon and blitz in the blender You can add pepper I think but I don't bother.Makes loads and keeps really well in the fridge. You blitz it a little at a time and keep checking the consistency whether you like it grainy or smooth.

Cappuccino · 31/05/2007 14:06

cool thanks

I have to admit I have had half a cup of weak black coffee I am dying over my computer

scrambled eggs, rye bread and spring greens for lunch

god I am tired
