i've been meaning to email you and see how things were, sorry for not being in touch x

imaginaryfriend · 11/07/2007 21:39

No worries lou, I've been wondering about you too. Are you ok? I've been ridiculously busy with work and other things and my 'spare' time has mostly involved me zonking out on the sofa!

lou33 · 11/07/2007 21:42

nothing has changed here tbh, are you ok in yourself though?

MoosMa · 11/07/2007 22:04

So glad to hear she seems to be getting better, I just looked at the pictures in your profile and she's really beautiful and cheeky looking! It's such a shame to hide that, I hope she continues to heal and is back to her normal self soon.

imaginaryfriend · 12/07/2007 00:18

Thanks MoosMa. She's a sweetheart.

Lou, I'm ok, there's been a lot to deal with lately - isn't there always! So I'm tired, very very very ready for a holiday.

foxinsocks · 04/08/2007 19:57

just wondering how things are progressing now imaginaryfriend?

I really hope she's starting to feel better now!

IF - not sure if this is the right place to ask but I saw the thread title in active conversations - I'm not very good at following up on old conversations but I do think about you and this has prompted me - what about you?

imaginaryfriend · 04/08/2007 21:35

hi fox and hatwoman.

fox, she's an awful lot better. Her face is virtually recovered even though even a month ago that seemed impossible. There are still some patches which flare up and down so we've got to continue with the antibiotics. to be honest the antibiotics are probably one of the worst things about it right now as they still make her feel lousy but I don't see what choice we have, it's obviously necessary. I'm hoping that by the end of the summer holidays we can begin to cut back on them. Has your dd stayed ok?

hatwoman I'm ok, still getting some headaches and am still under the neurologist for my weird leg. Much better than I was though. Thanks for asking. How are you?

hatwoman · 04/08/2007 23:24

Hi again,

I'm fine - haven't really had any problems recently at all. due to see the neuro in sep but only for a routine annual check. glad that your dd's problems seem to be getting better - but sorry the antibiotics are making her feel bad. and glad you're not too bad yourself - did you get any answers? I think the problem with anything neurological is that it's often hard to pinpoint the cause.

imaginaryfriend · 04/08/2007 23:28

It is hard to find the cause. I have missing nerve connections going to my left side but the cause is unsure. It may be MS or may not. Nothing confirmed. The neurologist I'm seeing is a bit rubbish. An in-and-out affair. I've been scanned and re-scanned and I'm so used to the pins and needles sensation now that I only notice it if I'm thinking about it.

foxinsocks · 05/08/2007 09:47

oh I'm glad to hear that if - thank goodness those antibs are working (are all her bits OK?). Sorry to hear about your headaches - those have been going on for ages now haven't they.

Dd is ok - we've had a few minor flare ups but it seems to be (fingers crossed) at bay. She has a problem with her hearing again but I hope that is all connected with her hayfever rather than a reoccurrence of her glue ear problem.

Well ... funny you mention it fox ... I just spent half an hour settling dd down as her bottom was so itchy she was screeching and couldn't sleep. So far from out of the woods yet! I'm hoping by the next time we see the dermatologist we can cut out some of the meds though. She's lost masses of weight as no appetite with the antibiotics.
