Girls, generally, say 18-21 year olds, labia size and no pubic hair? Normal? Picture attached. Warning.

I'm sorry for asking this question. I just wondered.
Have recently seen a few clips from tv show 'Naked Attraction'.
I know its not everyone's cup of tea. Quite contentious.

Not of much interest to me either really.
But I was quite fascinated by all the girls. Young, pretty, lovely.

But they all had very very neat labia. none hanging down.
AND they all had no pubic hair at all. Not even a French with a small strip of pubic hair.
All completely hair free.

So, is very neat? AND no pubic hair, completely the norm, these days?

Will our teenage boys, encounter this, as the norm?

I attach a picture, of which I just googled, just to show how neat and tight and firm all the labia on the show looked. Hope its not offensive.

All teenage girls should be shown the Great Wall of Vagina! If not actually taken to Milan then definitely shown photos of it. I've got long, dark inner labia which protrude (some of the people on this thread would be horrified I'm sure) and I really struggled with feeling disgusting and abnormal when I was younger. Young women should be taught that there is a wide range of 'normal' and they don't have to feel ashamed.

Gorgosparta · 13/09/2017 19:03

I havent seen many female genetials. But i would guess the one on the right is more common. But only because thats what mine look like, so i kind of assumed tbh

Mine didnt change after childbirth either, is it common that it does?

I trim my hair but not wax or wet shave.

I find it weird that people care what others do with theirs. As though people seem to think omit makes them superior to have untrimed pubes. It really doesnt. Pubes do not maketh the woman. Wink

AfunaMbatata · 13/09/2017 19:04

"Crunchy pubes" ?! Lmfao!! That's one of the strangest discriptions of pubes ever.

PeaceAndLove1 · 13/09/2017 19:05

Dejango how many have you seen though?

Mumof41987 · 13/09/2017 19:07

I don't have any hair at all either . I much prefer it this way !! Iv had 4 kids and mine is neat and no hangs down bits !

Lottey90 · 13/09/2017 19:07

Both of those look odd to me. I guess everyone is unique cos I've never seen one looking like those. And yes I shave completely so it's not that

FruitCider · 13/09/2017 19:08

You are clearly basing your opinions on your own and a limited experience of others (men or women?)

You're very welcome to pop by and have a feel if you want to be certain

Being as I worked in the sex industry many many moons ago I've probably seen more hairy genitalia than you have had hot dinners so I'll kindly turn down your generous offer Wink

Almahart · 13/09/2017 19:12

OP DH and I were flummoxed by this programme. Boggling

Jedimum1 · 13/09/2017 19:13

That pic is from a "before" and "after" surgery, hence why the pic on the right feels a bit odd.

Mine are in between. I have one that hands down a bit like the one on the left, but shorter, and one that is more tucked in. I could manually "level" them lol. I have had them completely waxed, at that length and full bush. Fully waxed feels fresher and it actually makes it a bit more sensitive. But I need proper cotton underwear when it's fully shaved or I feel uncomfortable. I hate it when the hair starts growing again, it's itchy. Full bush is also ok for me, but if I want DH down there, it's very impractical Grin still better than half way grown, as it feels like a beard and scratches!

demirose87 · 13/09/2017 19:14

I don't really understand the post, OP. That picture is off a website about labiaplasty showing the same vagina before and after surgery, not Naked Attraction. I'd say most of the ones shown on that show are more common.

TableMirror · 13/09/2017 19:16

You're clearly not a fan of the series, if you were you'd have seen a variety of different labia and pubic hair.

I think actually it's quite good at showing people that different penises and vaginas exist beyond those you see in porn.

NevermindtheBollocks · 13/09/2017 19:23

Is 'flappy' and 'clunky' a negative or positive description?

imjessie · 13/09/2017 19:30

I've watched all of naked attraction and there are women on there with big labia . I was actually quite shocked that they were brave enough to go on there because I presumed it wasn't very desirable . The truth is men don't really care !! .. I was more shocked by the lack of public hair TBH !! Women don't really look like women anymore do they?

PollyPerky · 13/09/2017 19:36

Being as I worked in the sex industry many many moons ago I've probably seen more hairy genitalia than you have had hot dinners

Maybe it's only people with pubic hair that crackles who use sex workers? Interesting to do a survey.

PollyPerky · 13/09/2017 19:37

Is [sic] 'flappy' and 'clunky' a negative or positive description?

That's entirely the choice of the reader.

PolarisStar · 13/09/2017 19:39

My bits look like neither of those pictures!

I must have one of these neat "abnormal" ones Hmm

Runaways01 · 13/09/2017 19:44

Mine look exactly like number two, except with the inner labia sticking out a lot more (by about half as much as picture one's). And I've not had kids. I know they're not typical, and I'd prefer if they looked neater and prettier, but they don't cause any discomfort and they're normal to me.

Some of the comments on here like 'shocking', 'clunky', 'flappy', 'odd', 'disturbing', 'not normal', 'saggy' are slightly harsh to read though!

PollyPerky · 13/09/2017 19:44

Oooh sorry- it was crunchy not 'crackles'. Too much cereal imagery here. Snap, crackle, pop, crunch.

Crunchy pubs- bleurgh! maybe if they are unwashed. Mind boggles.

bookwormsforever · 13/09/2017 19:45

I think the women who choose to appear on Naked Attraction are attractive and slim with labia they don't mind showing off to the world, so you're not going to get as much variation on TV as there actually is, iyswim.

shouldnthavesaid · 13/09/2017 19:50

runaways didn't mean to offend Flowers Flowers

I was only saying it wasn't normal, because I had a gynaecologist bark at me that it very much was normal to have them that size, everyone else looks like that, despite it causing constant pain , unable to wear a swimsuit or shorts, underwear etc. I was told I just felt I was ugly , must have watched a lot of pornography (at 16), and seeking surgery for something that every lady puts up with . Which wasn't the case, and eventually was told at that size it's a problem and I wasn't just looking for attention .. It's hard to explain and I get a bit ... flappy ... about it! But I genuinely didn't mean to offend anyone and sorry if I did Flowers

FruitCider · 13/09/2017 20:00

Crunchy pubs- bleurgh! maybe if they are unwashed. Mind boggles.

I was actually referring to my own pubic hair (when I had it!). When I used to sit down I could feel it pushing against my knickers. But thanks for hinting that I don't shower Grin

FruitCider · 13/09/2017 20:02

Maybe it's only people with pubic hair that crackles who use sex workers? Interesting to do a survey.

Strange assumption that I was a Street sex worker there. There are other kinds of sex work (which mumsnet doesn't like to talk about as apparently all sex workers are void of agency and are all forced into the industry Hmm)

AccrualIntentions · 13/09/2017 20:04

Crunchy? I've got thick hair when it's left to its own devices but crunchy? Confused Springy would be a better analogy IME

Runaways01 · 13/09/2017 20:19

Oh, I wasn't offended by your post shouldnthavesaid, I was referring to other posters. I totally understand why you would opt for surgery, especially as they were causing you pain Smile

But for someone a bit more like B who doesn't suffer any discomfort, I think it's a bit harsh for some people to say B isn't normal. It's not the average, but neither is it a medical issue or something that needs to be fixed.

cloudchasing · 13/09/2017 20:25

I'm astonished that anyone would report this! It's just fannies, isnt it? Blimey.
