OP posts:
Macdog · 23/01/2007 22:52

Have just consulted with dh on what I did for 3rd stage. I think I had the drugs, but was firmly attached to the Entonox machine and have no recollection

i didnt get asked about the syntocinon stuff, they inj in to my leg and them when i had come round later on the midwife said sorry she hadnt asked me, she just did it. but i was soooo spaced out on gas and air i wouldnt have answered her anyway. i was in my own little dream world and only came to for a few seconds then drifted off in to my own world again, although i can remeber one of the drs was american and called jamie, as i started telling him that dp's brother lives in america!! they were all panicking and i was running on crap!!

worleygig · 24/01/2007 19:18

anyone get the pampers newsletter via email?
they are telling me to be prepared for the crawling whihc may start at around 7 months!! ds2 cant even roll fully over yet, i try laying him on his tummy and he screams, he can sort of twist his tophalf over on to his side but thats it. he'll get there in the end.

we got sent a free sample of a heinz banana breakfats so i thought i would give him a little, (even though it has milk powder in, hes sort of ok with a biscoti biscuit with milk powder in) but he has thrown up everywhere just 5 mins after eating that, so gusess that another no no. i asked the gp for a referral to a dieticin this week and he said i have to ask the hv ??? ds2 starts full days next week and i cant keep up expressing the amount he nees to see him through and he wont drink his pepti junior prescribed milk.
so im stressing over that now as well

Jennster · 24/01/2007 21:11

Not heard of Pepti junior Worley will look it up tomorrow.

Don't do disposable nappies (well do but eco ones and only at night) so no pampers newsletter. Isn't it dreadful but can't remember when Anna started crawling. Sure it was well after 7 months though.

worleygig · 24/01/2007 22:27

will it be in the BNF? im going to go look now, i never thought of looking it..

worleygig · 24/01/2007 22:32

cant see it, but then it has no medicinal value, so probably not. i think i was told that by one of our radiologists when i was trying to find barium in it!

pepti juniour has the protein molecule broken down more than the other formulas apprently, so its hypoallergenic or something like that.

worleygig · 25/01/2007 10:42

am i first up this morning?
i was late getting up this morning, kept pressing the snooze buttin till8am, then ds2 came through and announced he had to take "junk" in to school this morning as they are building space stations or something. bloody boy!! he could have told me last night,
so there i am rummaging through the bins lookin for yog pots and toilet rolls , cerela boxes etc etc. general blue peter stuff, for him to take in. the neigbours must have thought i was mad as its bin day today and i had already pushed the wheelie bin outside down the drive.

VoodooBiltong · 25/01/2007 11:57

LOL at worley having a good rummage!

I looked at the follow-on milks at Tesco the other day, and realised they are £7 a pop, and you need about 8 scoops to make one poxy beaker full and then the kid has to drink, like 16 beakers a day to stay optimally hydrated..................

will just keep the boobies going for another 5 months then!
oh Worley I sympathise, I wouldnt like to be worrying over the milk dd is/isnt drinking.
If he's thirsty he'll drink whatever you give him. If there is no boobie milk available he will have to make do with what he's given!!!

well, ma and pa have shot off down the M6 to the midlands to help get ready for the wedding, we go down tomorrow, I am trying to sort out the food dd will need, its not economically viable to keep her on the jars for much longer as she scoffs them all, and they are 60p a pop. I had better start cooking after this weekend....

she was 15lb13oz on Tuesday, I had to take her to see my revolting HV as her TB mark has swollen right up and shes had it for 4 months so it shouldnt. HV recommended showing it to a doctor, but theyd all gone out on rounds so I had to return yesterday, and he said it was nothing to worry about thanks HV for all the worry over nothing...but its full of pus which will start flooding out any second. probably all over her cute wedding outfit........

VoodooBiltong · 25/01/2007 11:58

so the old macdog has been at the sauce again eh!
shame we didnt have an argument pre-prepared....

VoodooBiltong · 25/01/2007 11:59

ooooh what heaven dd is fast asleep still in the pram and I have a big steaming coffee and MN to myself for a bit!!!!!

VoodooBiltong · 25/01/2007 12:00

actually, I dont think the pram will get much more use as she is so desperate to be sitting up and looking at everything now, I think I will convert it to the pushchair and just use it like that from now...

shit...I can hear crying, gotta go peeps X

Macdog · 25/01/2007 15:44

It's my BIRTHDAY !!!!!!

Have a slice of cake and a glass of champers !!!

happybirthdaymacdog

did you gets lots of nice things?

voodoo - you spoke to soon obviously
our local corner shop has started selling garlic biltong, its the first thing i see as you walk in, i have to smile to my self every time i walk in. im not brave enough to try it though.

i have wound the back of ds2's pram up so he can see a bit, but he prefers his sling, he can see all around then. it then has a chair attachment also (its an old mamas and papas one, i got it nw for ds1 s its orange and blue, not like all the nice ones they do now!) but to be honest i wont use it as i have a 2 wheeler still that was also ds1's for when we used to walk over the fields/marshes with the dog. i just cant fing the raincover so will have buy a new one.

Macdog · 25/01/2007 19:08

dd and I were taken out for a lovely lunch by my mum.
Got some lovely Lush bubbly stuff from dh and lots of sweeties !!

And, before you ask, I shall be partaking of a vino before hauling my aged bones off to bed

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MACDOG

Forgot to look up Pepti Junior. Had to cope with a condescending beligerent Pre-Reg.

Anybody else had snow? We've just been very cold.

Jennster · 25/01/2007 22:05

Oh and according to my methadone addict, my bump has a masculine aura, so it's a boy!

Macdog · 25/01/2007 22:44

Nice of your Methadone addict to help you out there .
We've not had snow, but it's f***ing freezing!!!!
The real Macdog's water dish froze between 7am (when his kennel was opened) and 11am (when I took him for his walk). His kennel is toasty overnight with all the straw, and only gets cold when the hatch is opened.
He seems to have recovered from his bout of sickness, probably something he ate in the park.
dd really noisy during day. Can't step outside the room for a minute without screaming(her, not me!!). Hoping it's just her teeth again.

OP posts:
worleygig · 26/01/2007 14:25

we've sort of had snow!! its gone pretty quick though. its thefirst time this week i've been up early enough to actualy see it

i've go a pain in my boob! it hurts to even hold ds2 and sort of rest him on my side, if he touches it i yelp, and last night whilst feeding him he kept nipping / squeezing it when feeding and when he made me scream he actually giggled. dp couldnt believe it, he says ds2 must be sadistic!!

macdog, ds2 is like that when i leave also, he cries if i walk past him to the kitchen, or if he was on dp's lap and i stood there but didnt pick him up quick enough! he went back to nursery this morning and cried when i left him bt was fine when i rang back later.

worleygig · 26/01/2007 14:30

methadone addicts!! we have one who pretends to have swallowed blades regularly. shes very nice normally just a bit weird when you know their history. we have some woman who swallows cutlery also!!! very bizarre, shes french though if that makes a difference?

how many weeks are you jennster?
i quite miss the kicking feelidn ds2 used to give, and laying in the bath watching you belly poke about. ds1 loved it!

Macdog · 26/01/2007 17:41

Are the French known for eating cutlery??????? Well you learn something new every day !!!

Have you tried holding a hot water bottle/heat pack against the sore bit? The wee b**gers know when you're sore and do it for fun.

dd had fun at M&T today. They did edible finger painting: food dye mixed with soya yoghurt. She was covered in it, but happy (bless 'er).
Little sod had me awake half the night. She woke up once, then I was awake the rest of the night 'just in case' .
Hopefully tonight will be better

OP posts:
Jennster · 26/01/2007 21:14

I am 14 weeks 5 days today. When they dated me, I worked out backwards that I tested on the equivalent of day 27 (had I had a period), so knew before I was pregnant properly.

Someone on the Due July thread is worrying about buying things for their first baby, and somebody else reccomended Annabel Karmel book! FFS they haven't even had the blumming baby yet, why on earth would you worry about weaning at this point? Don't think my comment went down to well

Jennster · 26/01/2007 21:20

And I only have one permanent addict and one irregular one. The one who 'told' me the sex of my baby is actually lovely. I've worked in Blackpool and Blackburn and OH MY GOD some of them are dreadful. In some branches they have 30-40 addicts.....In fact (sorry Macdog) but in Blackpool 80% of the addicts are Glaswegian. Strange but true. In fact Blackpool is the only place outside Scotland where the Daily Record out-sells the Daily Mirror.

Jennster · 26/01/2007 21:32

Sorry keep adding posts. Hope your boobies get better soon Worley.

Have just bought some follow on milk Voodoo. When you look at how much normal formula milk they need to drink, the follow on stuff is actually more concentrated and so they need less! Think if they eat loads of yoghurt and cheese then nothing to worry about....she says worrying.

Jennster · 28/01/2007 18:08

Where is everybody? Have you started a new thread and not told me about it?

Jennster · 28/01/2007 18:09

Or have you all got lives...I don't.
