I was asked to start this, honest.

Come and share a sisterly cup of organic carrot juice and tell us why you love yours.

Deffo recommend them. Only managed to use it for 1 cycle before a BFP this week () but..

..you know that dry-fanjoed feeling you can get with tampons? Doesn't happen with a mooncup.

Will return to mine...sometime!

ItsthaWEREwooluff · 20/10/2006 13:49

I love mine because it's soooo comfy. And on holiday I could go in and out of the water with my children without having to dive off to the loo every 5 mins to change tampons.

Posey · 20/10/2006 13:53

I really do forget I've got a period.

lulumama · 20/10/2006 13:55

can you do it wrong and the flow misses it?

answer me oh wise and great ones!

Tatties · 20/10/2006 14:23

Lulumama, I think you can get it wrong and the flow misses, but only if you haven't checked that it has unfolded properly and ensured there is a 'seal' by twisting the mooncup and squeezing your pelvic floor. It has happened to me but I could tell straight away - I got that kind of bubbling feeling you get when a tampon is leaking. Doesn't matter if you get it a bit wrong though, you just take it out and try again!

shazdisembodiedronnie · 20/10/2006 14:54

so do you just push it in with your finger like a lil let?

CarolinaMooncup · 20/10/2006 15:31

you fold it a couple of times to make it narrower, then shove it up there and let it spring open.

It's about the size and shape of an egg-cup, hence the folding.

CarolinaMooncup · 20/10/2006 15:33

congratulations MagicGenie

shazdisembodiedronnie · 20/10/2006 16:35

how do you know it's in right?

sorry to ask more questions!

lulumama · 20/10/2006 16:36

thanks tatties...

squeeze my pelvic floor.............!!! erm....right then...

shaz, it is trial and error really, but if you can feel anything or if leaks, you need to take it out and try again.

NOMurDErousPLUME · 20/10/2006 18:22

Tatties, I bough the wrong size by accident so I haven't tried it.

FrannyandZooey · 20/10/2006 18:25

Ruddy hell I really do keep forgetting I have got mine in

thank god for this thread eh?

I'm afraid my wizard's sleeve fanjo will be more than the 'A' can cope with

FillyjonkthePumpkinEater · 20/10/2006 18:26

can someone talk me through the sizing?

I am under 30

but have had 2 vaginal births, which must, surely, count for something.

Do I get A and then, on 13 september 2007, get myself a B? Or what?

Also can someone talk to me about how there is absolutley no chance of one of these causing toxic shock please?

FillyjonkthePumpkinEater · 20/10/2006 18:27

(cos on 13 september 2007 I will be 30)

Greensleeves · 20/10/2006 18:28

I am under 30 but have had 2 third degree tears and have a fanny like a clown's pocket....should I buy the larger size, do you think?

NOMurDErousPLUME · 20/10/2006 18:28

You need the B, filly

A is only for women who are under 30 and have had c/s births OR no births at all.

FrannyandZooey · 20/10/2006 18:29

Everyone on here needs the B, basically

(I reckon even C/S ladies need the B, because everything just goes slacker, or am I talking out my fanjo?)

Filly hold on a couple of weeks and I will get you a nice cheap one

OP posts:
FillyjonkthePumpkinEater · 20/10/2006 18:30

ah, franny, I have held on 4 years thus far

another few weeks will make bllx all difference.

CarolinaMooncup · 20/10/2006 18:30

It's an A cup for you, missy.

It's safer than tampons for TSS - look

NOMurDErousPLUME · 20/10/2006 18:33

It's been a lonnnnnnnnnnnnng time since I made use of an A cup, I can tell you.

FrannyandZooey · 20/10/2006 18:33

Oh good point Filly forgot about that

You will need the larger size, though

and I checked the pack and NDP is quite right, if you are under 30 and have had c/s you need the A

OP posts:
NOMurDErousPLUME · 20/10/2006 18:39

Still mega pissed off that I didn't realise I'd bought the smaller one , complete waste of £20.
