Not necessarily, custy. Do they all smoke? Can you try to fix it in your mind that it will taste horrible and make you feel crap after a few days without? And more to the point you'll have to go through that horrible withdrawal business again. How's your mouth now?

You know, I was just thinking, I can only remember about 5 craving episodes today. Such a vast improvement. And there were lots of times it didn't enter my mind. Including after dinner with dp and dd tonight, I've just realised that I haven't thought about smoking since about 4.30 pm today ...

Nah ... failed 5 bloody times. All over stupid little things which is more annoying than failing over something big. Anyhow we can't afford a car at the moment so not bothering.

But, think positive cc, you've helped all these no-hopers to quit so you can pass your test. I know you can!!

You know the first time I failed i didnt think about fags till the next day at 11am and I thought Jeesus, I may have failed my test but i didnt want to smoke...RESULT lol

Yes it's a very expensive business.

I keep feeling constantly chuffed that I've 'forgotten' to think about fags at various 'trigger' points of the day. Today's been so much better in general. The cravings hit me and I think in a kind of cave-man way 'gimme fag, gimme fag' then before I know it they've gone and I'm thinking about something else. At what point did those feeling fade altogether, cc?

Last week Nah..erm...a while yet my friend, im not going to lie, but its gets further and further away and you have to remind yourself that to have a fag would only make this hell return at full speed.
The realising someones got a fag in your face and you didnt even realise is a good one...long may it continue

A while. What? A month? Two? Six months? I can't remember how long it took previously. I think it must be over 2 months because I quit last year for that long and still slipped back into it easily. Too easily!

Be patient, this is the beginning of the end of getting away from the hell that is smoking. In 6 months time you will look back and wonder how it could comsume so much of your brain space.
No going back.
No slipping up ok!

Just joined up today. I quit when I was pregs because the mere thought of a cig made me need to visit my best friend the toilet. But when my boy was six weeks old I dropped him in the most terrible way which completely shattered my nerves. Anyway, I went and bought a pack which has been my demise. Smoke about 7 per day (less at week-ends) but desperately need to quit

Come and join Hulan! The more the better. I'm just over a week into my quit and feeling better today than since I started. I can see light at the end of the tunnel. We'll all be here to support you.
