The grossest Mooncup-related question ever: really, do not read if averse to TMI and a bit squeamish

Dino you can probably get away with not changing it at work unless you have a really heavy flow. They hold quite a lot of, er, flow.

I gave up on mine cos I was doing contortions just like Orlando in an effort to get the darn thing out ... trips to A&E were looking very likely. Maybe I ought to try again - oh but the darn thing also leaked so I obviously didn't have it in correctly - although I did twist it.

Snafu · 09/07/2006 19:00

I am still loving mine.

And I would like to apologise to anyone who was in Gordon's on Villiers Street at about 9.30 last night, who may have heard me coming out of the loos to proudly announce to my friends that there were still 'no leaks!'

NormaSnorks · 09/07/2006 23:07

Got mine, and dear old AF arrived almost the same time!

I LOVE IT! And well, I feel just so damn smug really

(Think I am turning into an ageing hippy eco-person)

Likewise Dinsosaur - have sued mine all week now, and it's great.

It just feels so good not having to carry and dispose of tampons everywhere.

The only bit I find a teeny bit disconcerting is the little 'squelch' when you release the suction to take it out... sort of limpet like really!

NormaSnorks · 11/07/2006 10:55

USED min (not sued, obviously )

suzywong · 28/07/2006 06:33

i LOVE it!
Just having a trial run and it's great.
i am a tad concerned that on the Big Day I won't be able to get it out without spilling but if you lot manage it then so can I. What's your top tip

Why oh why didn't I get one before?

MrsBadcrumble · 28/07/2006 07:22

Aaah suzy that's fab.

My top tip, mentioned by PC lower on this thread, is to sort of "rock" it out. I move it slowly forwards and backwards, and it doesn't "suck" quite so much and comes out quite gently.

Isn't it odd how you can't feel it?

MrsBadcrumble · 28/07/2006 07:23

PS this is Pruni, I got bored of my name

Pierre · 28/07/2006 07:31

NO, even though SW is my icon and if she can do something, I can, the mooncup is a step too far.

Nope.

willandsamsmum · 31/07/2006 21:04

Just wanted to say that I am using my mooncup for the first time today. Had no problems getting it in or out and it's just fantastic. I usually get an aching pain through my groin and down my thighs from using tampons and get very sore from pads so am thrilled to have found something that works with no discomfort. I am going to tell the world and save a fortune on lillets!

Posey · 31/07/2006 21:11

Plucked up the courage to use mine again this month with no problems getting it out this time. But I do find the removal incredibly messy. Anyone else?
