Marshy mindfulness is a good coping strategy but I also found visioning very useful. You crowd out the negative thoughts by focusing on something that you would rather be doing/ plan on doing. I had various plans, standing on a mountaintop with my chemo buddies, on a beach in Australia (we had had to cancel a holiday when I was dx) , watching a sunset with my friends and you concentrate on the whole experience, the smell, the wind on your face, the sounds, the warmth etc etc. put yourself into that moment. I made all but one of my visions of the future come true. I also had visions of a troupe of handsome LOrd of the Rings style heroes mopping up all the mindless Misshapen ugly Orcs/Cancer cells and then finding me irresistibly attractive enjoy having your DD home. Mine is only on the other side of London and can come home easily but we still get out the red carpet when she comes back.
kitkat if I were to have a vision of hell it would be the inside of one of those shops, in the dark with the loud music and stinky perfume, and the nagging..... Thank goodness they have grown out of it. ASOS is easier on the sensory overload
the night that is very strange! I know plenty of people who had it in more than 4 nodes and it clearly had not spread because they are still here a decade or more later. It is difficult for you though as you are getting it at second hand and maybe your sister thinks that is what she heard? However second opinions are easily come by. My Consultant encouraged you to get two points of view on your dx since Consultants may arrive at the same conclusion but present it to you in different ways. No good Consultant will have a problem in you getting another perspective, and it is after all, your life and body.
gigs how are you today? When do you set sail for Tesco?
ruby hope you are being wrapped in love and cuddles at home.
Hugs to everyone else
