Susan, that is terrific news. Psychotherapy gets a mixed press but a good counsellor can change your life and make you feel so much better (especially about your MOTHER). Hope it continues to go well!

Thats great news Susan. Sounds like a great psychiatrist.

Sounds like you're making big strides, Susan. That's terrific news.

Glad to see you're feeling more positive, susan. Your counseller sounds very wise.

Another trip to the psych today! Hardly feels like a week I've been so busy.
Still feeling up and down, but a little more positive. I've found that before when Ihave been coming out of a depressive phase that I get very emotional - when I'm depressed I'm so numb that letting myself feel again is scarey and a bit of a wild ride for a couple of weeks. But I have to go through it and at least I know I'm getting better slowlly!
Mum is coming to visit this week which is going to be a bit of a strain but useful I thknk... Juus have to see how it goes. I could be here quite a bit!!!!!!!!!!

Good luck today.
I really recognise that thing of it being a bit scary when the numbness starts to wear off.
Hope it goes well.

I dont think I have posted on here, but reading your last few posts it sounds like you are tapping into some good positive and healing energy. A trip to the hair salon is always lovely, these little things you do for yourself are a good thing for the body & soul.It is great what you said about yourself, we spend to long being overly modest and not cherishing ourselves and how good we can look sometimes. I am going through a similar situation with depression (with acute anxiety attacks). The CPN who came to see me at home was a wonderful man and very positive.I am doing hypnotherapy along side other stuff. I will keep an eye on this thread now to see how you are going. Small steps as they say.
