Hello!

Three years since our first weight loss thread and we are still here! Just!

Well, I finally did it! I've lost err... 74lbs since May 2011 and now weigh 9 stone 4 and am a size 8-10, as opposed to umm.. 'lots heavier' and a size 16 /18.

I am really wanting to maintain, tone up, drop a couple more lbs and stay like this so any healthy eating /gym chit chat sounds good to me.

Now - where are we all???

i made nice bacon and lentil soup for tea last night, and some left over for lunch

think it might have been one of our old recipes from years gone by

MistressIggi · 04/10/2012 19:55

I need to make things like soup. I make chocolate cake and buns Blush

VinegarTits · 04/10/2012 23:59

well the soup diet didnt last long, ive been for an italian, i had fresh oban scallops on a bed of risotto with basil oil dressing, roast pork belly with potato gratan and red wine jus and coconut ice cream sundae Blush (it were bloody gorgeous though)

Lizzylou · 05/10/2012 09:53

Vinny, that sounds like a gorgeous meal Envy

I have had to give up on the Slim and Save. My hair is falling out, on my crown so noticeable, I have very fine hair anyway so cannot afford to lose any! I have had a good kickstart weightwise and can lose the last stone and 5lbs slowly, hopefully my hair will grow back!

VinegarTits · 05/10/2012 11:20

on no lizzy Sad is it directly related to the diet? doesnt sound very healthy if your hair is failing out

Lizzylou · 05/10/2012 18:33

On the website it does say it is a common side effect. I have decided that I do not want to be slim and bald. Just slim, so I will just go with the longer lord ford approach I think!! I have massively upped my exercise so that should help.

Hello Grin

Have been crap at watching my weight. Am going to be even crapper over the next three weeks whilst our kitchen is being done. Have just got to order a new table and chairs and then everything is done. We may have to move out for a night or so whilst our floor is done (very uneven).

Sorry that you have lost some hair Lizzy. It should hopefully grow back soon.

Vinny, your meal sounded bloody lush Envy

Lizzylou · 06/10/2012 09:50

OOh, are you having a new kitchen Bella? Exciting.

So far, so good, haven't gained any weight. Have been up early and done supermarket shop, lots of healthy veg etc.

Only problem is it is DH's 40th this week so lots of cake/party food.

Roight, off to the gym now.

MistressIggi · 06/10/2012 22:13

Am jealous of both new kitchens and gym visits! That is scary about your hair Lizzy, think you are wise to stop. Have been alone in house with baby today so eaten too much as a bit bored. Reading a scary book too which is not a great idea when you are alone overnight!
Bella did you enjoy designing the kitchen?

Lizzylou · 07/10/2012 14:17

Kettlecise is soooo hard!
I thought my arms would drop off and my thighs! Lots of squats and lunges.
It's fab though, you move to next move before limbs actually give out. I think I may ache tomorrow though!

Have you managed to get out and about today Iggi?? How is that scrummy DS2 of yours??

BellaVita · 07/10/2012 15:04

Lizzy am Envy of your exercising. I would normally go today and first thing tomorrow morning, but there is just too much to do. I never knew we hoarded so much fucking crap. I have told DH that there will be no crap in the new kitchen. The fitter is coming at 9.00am tomorrow and I would normally be in the gym then. It bothers me that my routine has been interrupted. Am seriously getting peed off now with moving stuff. DH is going to the dump shortly, I have been putting loads of stuff in the dump pile and have said we will get new stuff - things like baking trays/tins and place mats. I think a new kitchen deserves those. I have also said once everything is done I am going to get someone in to clean from top to bottom - to do things like the inside of the windows, all paintwork etc, I really just don't have the time anymore. DH is like Shock Hmm, but they moan when I clean too much so I feel this is the way forward - get someone else to do it.

Iggi, yes it was fun and kinda daunting too - hoping that things will work with xyz and picking the floor tiles to go with the cabinets and granite. We are also having a wall knocked out - tis a false one on an angle where the cooker is now. So hopefully the kitchen will look bigger and better. The new cooker is moving to where I have cupboards and the under counter fridge is no longer. We are having a huge integrated fridge on the other side of the kitchen. We have sold the dishwasher and fridge on eBay - they were collected yesterday and we have put the table and chairs on - we have watchers but no bids yet but there is still another 8 days to go. I am on the hunt for a new set but so far no luck - there was a lovely one in Home Sense but it was just a little too wide - bargin price too.

MistressIggi · 08/10/2012 12:55

Bella that's a good idea about paying for a deep clean. Things will get pretty mucky while it's being fitted too, sawing etc. I loved our kitchen when we first got it, all shiny! Not so much now, years of child-grime.
Ds2 is lovely Lizzy, I have just been admiring his plump thighs and soft skin. We go to my mum's for a week during half-term - she's seen him but rest of my family haven't so I'm looking forward to it. In fact, just about to attempt to get the new roof rack onto the car as a trial run!

shineonucrazydiamond · 09/10/2012 12:29

crying re the cross between michael flatley and louis walsh... Grin

How are we all? I am still maintaining but feeling quite hungry ALL THE TIME

Going for a lovely meal out in London on Saturday night at the oxo tower so definitely a day off then!

MistressIggi · 12/10/2012 19:59

Watching Dallas and eating veggie percys. Too nice not too eat.
Oxo tower - do post what you have to eat, sounds fancy!
