Hello!

Three years since our first weight loss thread and we are still here! Just!

Well, I finally did it! I've lost err... 74lbs since May 2011 and now weigh 9 stone 4 and am a size 8-10, as opposed to umm.. 'lots heavier' and a size 16 /18.

I am really wanting to maintain, tone up, drop a couple more lbs and stay like this so any healthy eating /gym chit chat sounds good to me.

Now - where are we all???

Yank, I am still crap on a bike despite my challenge thingy this summer. But you do get better quickly, it is fairly flat near you isn't it? All the better!

Grin at Vinny and her inner goddess voice.

Am very happy, it's Friday, have just negotiated a payrise and am going to be seeing good mates tomorrow. Work dress is fitting nicely and all is good in the hood.

ShIne0ncrazydiamond · 21/09/2012 13:05

Afternoon all!

I have been boxing and running in the gym and have so far had...

Black grapes

Quorn fillets with red pepper, mushrooms, baby corn, baby asparagus, mange tout with some grilled pepper light philadelphia stirred in. I will probably have a raw fruit and nut bar this afternoon and maybe a shake for dinner. Weight still stable - there has been no change for a couple of weeks now, bar the odd half lb up or down so think I am doing OK.

I am thinking about chocolate cake though

That lunch sounds rather lovely Shiney.
I have a bike in the cupboard. Was thinking the other day that it's been a while since I've ridden it - then realised last time was before I was pg with ds1 - therefore about 6 years!
I am counting the hours till ds in bed, when I shall have a cornetto.

VinegarTits · 21/09/2012 17:57

me: mmm chocolate cake

my inner goddess: you fat cow

me: shut up bitch!

my inner goddess: one day you will listen to me

me: not today love, there is chocolate and wine to be had

my inner goddess: its 2 millions calories..blah blah blah

me: la la la

BellaVita · 21/09/2012 21:06

Evening.

Have orders the edamame beans on my Waitrose shop which is being delivered tomorrow. Your lunch did indeed sound lovely Shiney.

Yank, I must get my bike out. It is supposed to be nice tomorrow so may manage to get a bike ride in, although we have a lot to do.

It cost DH £3.60 single on the bus this morning into town and then £12.70 single fare on the train to Leeds, bloody shocking it is. He was supposed to be having one eye relasered. When he got there after work, they remeasured his eye which said he needed another layer taking off, but when they put the machine on it, it says his eye is ok. I drove all the way to Leeds tonight to pick him up to find he hadn't had anything done and even worse....whilst I was on my way from the car park to where the eye place is, I stopped off and bought some clothes Blush. I did however have a "skinny" pizza with salad in Zizzis.

Vinnh you are funny Grin

Yay for pay rise Lizzy.

FrankieMyDearIDontGiveADamn · 21/09/2012 23:01

Quite frankly Bella, it was your duty to buy more clothes. I do it all the time Grin

I have been very good but am very hungry. Hmm

Grin Vinny...

Lizzylou · 22/09/2012 06:57

OOH I want my eyes lasered (sort of , kind of, am a bit scared), did JM say it hurt Bella?

Vinny Grin

BellaVita · 22/09/2012 07:38

That makes me feel a whole load better Frankie Grin

Lizzy, it doesn't "hurt" it is just uncomfortable. Afterwards it is like having grit in your eyes, but they advise you to go straight to bed when you get home (wearing goggles that they give you) and with each hour, the grittiness subsides.

MistressIggi · 22/09/2012 12:08

Lizzy I had mine done ten years ago, never looked back.
Wondering if I encourage ds to feed more if it will burn more calories.

JaquelineHyde · 23/09/2012 10:12

Eeeek all this eye lasering talk is making me feel queezy...I have a real issue with eyes. I even get all funny when the optician blows that puff of air into my eye Grin

I had a cyst on my eye a few years ago that I had to have removed and I will never forget lying on the hospital bench and realising that I was going to have to be awake for the procedure Shock Shock The smell of my own burning skin and the slight sizzling sound is the thing of nightmares Grin

How are we all doing? I have lost another lb this week but it may not last long as I have started Sunday mornig with a large bag of minstrels and now feel sick Smile (I haven't finished them yet but I'm sure we all know that will happen)

So any tips on healthy, yet tasty pack lunches? I'm full time at uni from tomorrow and can't afford the cash or the calories in eating out every day...Pasta salad etc do you think?

ShIne0ncrazydiamond · 23/09/2012 17:20

Stop eating Minstrels Jac. Do I need to come and confiscate them?

Try a spot of low carbing as opposed to carbs. Chicken/ cheese cubes/seeds/yogurt/nuts etc

MistressIggi · 23/09/2012 17:34

Have been at a kids party today. Trying to be good but may need something strong to help me recover.

BellaVita · 23/09/2012 17:36

Rocket, pomegranate seeds, toasted flaked almonds and cubed feta or some ham?

BIWI · 23/09/2012 17:41

Wow, Shiney - bloody well done! I had no idea that you needed to lose that amount - you always look so glam in your FB photos.

ShIne0ncrazydiamond · 23/09/2012 17:52

Fanks Biwi - umm, I am quite glam in terms of make up and hair and my clothes but I did have a huge small weight issue. I think I have finally cracked it this time though.

Am currently trying to master hula hooping! Have you seen my FB pic? Grin

OP posts:
BIWI · 23/09/2012 17:54

Ha ha ha! A still photo is no use though. We need action.

ShIne0ncrazydiamond · 23/09/2012 17:59

Oh God! I am still a work in progress. As soon as I've got it I will post a video.

So that's sometime in 2014 then

OP posts:
JaquelineHyde · 23/09/2012 19:00

I didn't eat the rest of the minstrels, I shared them amongst the dcs Smile

I don't really want to low carb, just eat everything in moderation. Also I don't like any nuts or seeds so can't fill out on them.

I think I'm going to take a cheese roll - brown bread, lettuce, cucumber and salad cream.

Not sure we have anything else in for me to take snack wise so shall have to stop at the garage on the way to grab a few bits.

I'm out of the house from 7.30-6ish so need to take quite a few snacky bits with me so probably a couple of bits of fruit, a yogurt and something else.

Cereal for breakfast and shepherds pie and veg for dinner. Not a bad day I think?

JaquelineHyde · 23/09/2012 19:00

Loving the hulahooping - think I may give it a go!

FrankieMyDearIDontGiveADamn · 23/09/2012 21:24

Hula hooping is fab.. I like fun ways to keep fit. Space hopping is actually quite energetic and works on thighs.

I have hardly eaten at all this weekend....... Hmm

ShIne0ncrazydiamond · 23/09/2012 23:05

I can do it! I can hula hoop and well... just keep on hooping. Only took me 15 minutes and a peruse of a few youtube vids. It is quite fun. I keep having a little hoop whenever I walk past it. Get a weighted one from Argos and read how to do it..and go for it Jac. You need to not move your upper body at all, kep your back straight and your bottom drawn in and bend your knees as if you were about to squat. And then just rotate your hips in a small clockwise direction - no big elaborate circles or anything. The hoop fell down the first 7 or 8 times and then... I got it.

Video proof of my first attempts on FB. Already I have improved from that and now look vaguely more professional

God Im dull

OP posts:
ShIne0ncrazydiamond · 23/09/2012 23:06

That's a good day Jac. And I don't low carb either... I 'moderate carb' meaning I never eat white carbs and I only eat carbs at one meal a day... it's too easy to have cereal for breakfast, a sandwich for lunch and then pasta for dinner..before you know it, you've carbed all day.

I find calorie counting works best for me. That way you can eat what you want within reason

VinegarTits · 24/09/2012 08:55

morning, just got into the office to find there has been a burst pipe so the water is off, cant have a wee and cant have a cup of tea, surely they should send us home?

im eating grapes

MistressIggi · 24/09/2012 10:06

Pretty sure no toilet means you go home! Or at least get VERY long coffee breaks to go to nearest cafe.

Lizzylou · 24/09/2012 13:30

Am with Iggi, Vinny, no loo = home!
Have had a v good weekend foodwise, drinkwise? Erm not so much. But have slept it all off now.
VLCD are not a good mix with drunken parties Blush

Shiney, am impressed at the hulahooping!
