Hello!

Three years since our first weight loss thread and we are still here! Just!

Well, I finally did it! I've lost err... 74lbs since May 2011 and now weigh 9 stone 4 and am a size 8-10, as opposed to umm.. 'lots heavier' and a size 16 /18.

I am really wanting to maintain, tone up, drop a couple more lbs and stay like this so any healthy eating /gym chit chat sounds good to me.

Now - where are we all???

Shiney, where did you get your edamame beans from? Are the frozen? I can never find them. I have bought ready made salads from M&S with them in bit that's about it.

I am always thinking about my next meal.....

Bella, am sure I have seen edamame beans in either Tesco or Asda. Do Sainsburys do them?

Feeling better for a bit of Jillian, can highly recommend Ripped in 30, better than shred. I did it for 5 weeks before my holidays, although I didn't lose much weight I did tone up loads more and even had a bit of definition in my bum (if you ignored the cottage cheese effect Grin).

Right, an astronaut pouch of macaroni cheese is awaiting me now.

I have done well today which I put down to the sobering influence of this thread! (Should say inspiring rather than sobering shouldn't I?!). I get them fresh in Waitrose in little packets. No main meal today... I am Sole Sourcing like lizzy - although may need to eat tomorrow as I am very hungry!

I slept badly too Lizzy. Which can be a trigger for bad eating so am being mindful of that.

I have taken a 'before' photo' and will take one later in the year.... same outfit.

I have found cure for morning snacking - spend morning driving miles to drop van in garage, then wait for an hour at the train station as train home cancelled. Am bloody starving though. I like the idea of taking a before photo - maybe should take one on first day of every month to track progress (or lack of it). Not naked though, would break my camera.

Hello again.

This lunchtime I'm having ham and cheese salad with peppers and tomatoes and fat free (joy-free) dressing. Have done the preschool run with the mindee who actually keeps up a decent pace, but I probably get more exercise when I do it with DS1 and have to chase him all over the place Hmm

J is away in France for two nights, he is going to try not to be too lardy.

Iggi, slimming world is ok with breastfeeding, you actually get more healthy extras than I realised! I thought it was only an extra milk (A), but depending on how old your baby is and if you are exclusively BFing, you get up to 4 healthy extras (A or B). Only found out as mindee's mum is a SW leader and sneaked me a brochure even though she's not meant to.

Well, Vinny, it sounds hardcore < it IS hardcore! > but it puts you into ketosis which stops the feelings of hunger. And once in ketosis, your body burns its fat. It is perfectly safe providing you are not contraindicated and follow the plan.

However, today I ate! I had a personal training session this morning too..

Breakfast - fat free natural yogurt, cherries, brown rice cereal

Lunch - 4 x ryvita, cottage cheese, cherry tomatoes

1 x raw fruit and nut bar

Dinner - roasted veg cous cous, marinated tofu, yellow peppers, low fat cream cheese

Small bowl of frozen yogurt.

So, around 1200 cals today

Gym again tomorrow

Feel better for it today though.

Vinny, you just have to be in the right frame of mind and go for it I think. You can't be halfhearted and cheat on these VLCD plans.
Though I will be on Saturday Blush, not with food, with booze. Will stick to gin and diet tonic though.

I have been too brain washed by the Paul McKenna approach to do anything hardcore. Wondering if eating meals, fruit for snacks, and exercising every day could let me lose half a stone in next 22 days? Really want to beforw visit home. DM always goes on about diets Hmm

my Nan was always the first person to tell me i'd put weight on, then she would offer me cake and if i said no she would say 'whats the matter girl, frightened of getting fat?'

she was also very fond of saying 'i never put weight on me' and it was true! the cow Grin

I have had a very very bad day foodwise. I'm not even going to confess it all. There was chocolate.

Bought a secondhand bike today. It's for J to ride to work and back so we're not doing these piddly car journeys. Walking carrying stuff kills his back and takes too long, so hoping this will solve a few problems in one go. It's a man's mountain bike, but the seat can adjust enough that I could ride it. I got on briefly and had a potter at the end of my road, but didn't know how to change the gears so was nearly falling off. Don't know what neighbours thought!

Anyway, I might try riding it too sometimes.

I'd love to do a VLCD, but can't with breastfeeding. The minute they stop though!

i had a bad day foodwise too yank, there was pasta (i cooked enough for 2 and though i could freeze half for lunch in the week and ended up eating the lot! fat bitch that i am) and wine and chocolate

i know i will be in that mindset soon though (i can hear my subconsious nagging at me already, every time i go towards the fridge she tuts loudly! cant get rid of the cow) just not this weekend (as there is still wine left)
