Here we go !

www.bionsen.co.uk/ is the deodorant I use. It's fantastic. No parabens, no aluminium. Boots do it. Very neutral smell so suitable for either gender.

I'm alright, just working 12 hr days at work and getting knackered in the process. But that's the economy for small businesses. Thank goodness it wasn't six months ago when I wouldn't have managed that.

amberlight · 26/07/2012 13:14

www.bionsen.co.uk/

KurriKurri · 26/07/2012 13:25

thank you - will check out weleda and the bionsen one looks just the thing amber. I think I'll start using it actually, I don't like all these chemicals either.

MAS - good that the doc is being thorough, and x-ray results sound good too. The pain on breathing in thing does sound very like a pulled muscle (I've forgotten the name of that muscle, but you can easily pull it just by stretching to far or like I said coughing and it is very uncomfortable) takes a few days to get better IME.

smee · 26/07/2012 13:27

MAS poor you to have the pain. Well done on getting through it all though. What's next, now they've ruled out a clot?

Sweetest, that eye op sounds amazing. Was it under local?? If so, huge hats off to you for bravery. And if under general, well you should be horizontal in the garden with a good book. Smile

Gig, a break from therapist sounds like a plan. Could you maybe do something else with the time? Not sure what, but maybe something physical and life affirming. I went swimming rather than to young womens cancer meeting the other night and felt I got far more out of it!

Ned, DS is fine about potential dyslexia. I haven't talked to him about it much, just explained what it is and that he might have it. His teacher is dyslexic, a cousin and one of his most favourite grown ups too, so he has a few brilliant role models already. Am sure that will help a lot if he is. Assessment's next week. [eek!] Is your DS enjoying the holidays?

Kurri, I used to get one from Waitrose - think that as the Weleda one. Was alright, though i have switched back to normal ones now.

Figgy happy holidays. Bet it's a lovely feeling to have the weeks stretching in front of you. Smile

Amber, why are you so exhausted?? Hope it's for good reasons not too much work. >

Topsy how's the teen? Has he emerged from x-box land at all yet?

Bollocks, if you're out there let us know how you are.

DS and I managed to get into the swimming pool. Twice now we've been turned away as it was full, so we set off early! Then went to a cafe for a treat of a breakfast. I had granola, with amazing yoghurt and berries , he had pain au chocolat. Very nice way to start the day. Smile

Waving to all. So sunny still here. Smile

KurriKurri · 26/07/2012 13:32

Intercostal is the word I was searching for MAS Smile

Early swim then breakfast sounds lovely Smee, - I may very well copy your idea (wonder if I can persuade DD to get up early Hmm)

smee · 26/07/2012 13:39

x-posted Amber. Don't overdo it. You'll set yourself right back if you carry on like that.

MaryAnnSingleton · 26/07/2012 13:47

morning swim sounds lovely smee and breakfast !
Not sure what happens now - will see if anything comes back in the blood tests- I guess just keep taking ibuprofen.

OP posts:
smee · 26/07/2012 14:36

I'd bet it's that cost-thingy, Kurri mentioned. Definitely keep taking ibuprofen, as it might get rid of it quickly. Clear x-ray's definitely good news. Smile

Talking of blood clots, Gracie how are you today?? Are you going to do your own injections from now?

Sometimesiwonder · 26/07/2012 15:15

Hope you get sorted MAS. Try not to worry, it does sound muscular (from my not at all extensive medical training).

I had a truly horrid experience having cavity wall insulation installed yesterday and am now engaged in yet another impossibly hard work project. So I am off for a cry, with profound apologies for not keeping up.

But I will just say - amber, the duct tape can be fished out of the drawer

smee · 26/07/2012 16:10

Sometimes, why was it horrid?? Am guessing messy, or were the fitters far from desirable?

I will stand over Amber with duct tape for you while you work. Grin

Sometimesiwonder · 26/07/2012 16:21

Very, very messy.

Owing to the way our extension has been added there was talk of them having to come inside and do stuff (which would have meant redecorating). Fortunately they found a way round that, but in two rooms, the action of filling the cavity resulted in a mass of black filth being blown out of the cavity and into the rooms. Don't ask me why, it didn't happen in any of the other rooms, just these two. Which meant cleaning. A LOT of cleaning. Angry

The guys themselves couldn't have been nicer, and it was mercifully quick.

MaryAnnSingleton · 26/07/2012 16:30

oh sometimes - I'd be very upset about that- offers a gentle hug and an ice lolly. I'm going to lie on the sofa now (amber take note)

OP posts:
smee · 26/07/2012 16:40

That definitely warrants 'horrid'. Sad Wonder why it happened.

KurriotsOfFire · 26/07/2012 16:46

Black filth everywhere sounds horrible - poor you Sad

It is KK by the way - in Olympic guise Grin

smee · 26/07/2012 17:57

Arf at Kurriots! Great name change. Grin

MaryAnnSingleton · 26/07/2012 18:07

fab name change kk !

OP posts:
Figgyroll · 26/07/2012 20:23

Love the new name, Kurriots Grin

MAS, hope the chest pain eases off soon. I had something similar many years ago and it was diagnosed as Tietzes Syndrome (sounded like Titties Syndrome Grin). It was a pulled muscle.

Sometimes, eek about the black filth. I suppose at least it was JUST two rooms. Could have been much worse. You deserve a Wine.

Glad you finally got to go for your swim, Smee and breakfast sounds delicious. I am keen to take DS2 one afternoon when he's not at his training centre. It will give my costume and softie an airing and see how I get on with them.

Gig, I had counselling sessions a few years ago during a shaky anxy patch and found it didn't help at all, talking about how I felt and being asked to write down the triggers. I went to about 4 sessions then gave up but managed to up my exercise and spend time with good friends and that helped enormously.

MaryAnnSingleton · 26/07/2012 22:08

thanks figgy, will look that up...

OP posts:
jchocchip · 26/07/2012 22:25

I know I've been neglecting you, sorry. Have been having a major wobble this week but I have had a good day today and think I may be regaining control at work, scary hotdesking and all. Didn't sleep well last night but managed to stay awake. Can't cope with repeat prescription system so have been off the tamox for a few weeks, but will collect tomorrow. Scary scan on Saturday then coming up to my one year appointments. aargh. Mustn't grumble though, at least not yet.

amberlight · 26/07/2012 22:55

Jchoc - hugs!

Yes please for duct tape. Forgot to eat, drink and rest today, which is jolly silly.

MaryAnnSingleton · 26/07/2012 22:57

tsk amber
hugs for jane xxx

OP posts:
smee · 26/07/2012 23:41

Hugs from me too, Jane, was wondering how you are. Why scary scan? Am so out of the loop. Hope you're alright.

Amber, now stop it, or we'll all pile round and force feed you fbs.

MAS, hope the pain doesn't stop you sleeping. Bit of luck it will feel easier in the morning.

Night all zzz xx

Gigondas · 27/07/2012 06:55

Morning all- Brew for those who need it.

Hope you managed to get some
Sleep mas

jchoc good vibes for scan tomorrow . I have one today so all candles/good wishes gratefully accepted.

Thanks for all sympathy and tips about therapy . Afternoon with friend and her boys was very nice and cheered me up tons (she is a Mn and amazing source of sympathy and support). she also made the girls some amazing knitted dollies which are so cute.

must have done me some good as although apprehensive about scan , I am very much looking forward to opening ceremony.

MaryAnnSingleton · 27/07/2012 07:37

ah,the power of friendship gig - loads of good thoughts for scan and jane for yours -will be thinking of you.
Propped myself up on pillows to take pressure off so slept pretty well, pain still there but I'm getting used to it -will go and buy more painkillers.
Dh fretting about holiday as he is worried that it's something terrible, but have reassured him -will ring surgery later to check on results etc.

OP posts:
Gigondas · 27/07/2012 07:40

I really doubt it is something terrible but sending you good vibes. Trouble is once you have had a bad dx , you are braced for worse in all issues.
