TODDLER DRINKS 6 PINTS OF WATER A DAY.........?

ok, ive posted before about my ds food intolerances but his water consumption ive got used too until the health visitor mentioned it at his check up. he's been tested for sugar related diabetes at 1 year old and was negative. hes now 16months old and drinks roughly 9oz water every hour throughout the day (this has been going on for months), he goes through roughly 8 sopping wet nappies a day and clothes.

he carries on drinking throughout the night, although not as much and i have to change wet nappies at least 3 times in the night.

is this normal?has anyone else got a massive water drinker

it didnt work bambi!wet after 2 hours!the sanitary towels did soak up the wee but not enough and how plastic knickers leaked il never know!spoke to my vets receptionist today and she has an extreme thirst and has been diabetes tested negative, she said if she cant get a drink its awful for her. ive just phoned health visitor and said i will not be reducing his water, she agreed thank goodness.

praps i could put 2or 3 nappies on him at onceGrin

I used to buy gauze from the chemist to put in son's nappy at night. It was on a big roll that you could cut to size.. it worked for us..

what about the booster pads you can get for non disposables. boots do them. will find a link...
