WTF Something just came out of my vagina!

I have been having stabbing pains in one side of my abdomen. I had bled unusually early for me over a week ago. I have the coil in and normally go about 8 weeks. This was more like 4! It went on for a week maybe and then stopped for a few days. Then I got pain and a little more bleeding for a day.

Pain again today but only briefly. Now i went to loo again, wiped myself and this little thing came away with the tissue! It had a little blood around it on the tissue. Looks like skin but with blood obviously running through it and has two little bumps in the middle. The top and the bottom of it sorta curl like a sea horse tail.

WTF!?!

Keep it and go thee to a doctor.

tardisjumper · 07/02/2012 20:06

oh dear I don't want to upset you but it sounds like a 4w/o foetus.

I didn't want to not reply but also didn't want to upset anyone.

HaveYouTakenLeaveOfYourCervix · 07/02/2012 20:07

um. could it be an embryo?

SuePurblybilt · 07/02/2012 20:07

Ring NHS direct perhaps?

catsareevil · 07/02/2012 20:08

It does sound like an embryo.

DanJARMouse · 07/02/2012 20:08

Sounds like a MC to me too.

MeltedChocolate · 07/02/2012 20:08

But I haven't had sex. I had a bit of fore play. He did use my hand when he was cumming and then fingered me after he wiped himself but that was start of the year and only once and I have coil. Shock Don't scare me!

Magneto · 07/02/2012 20:10

It's entirely possible given the timings of what you have just described. Wiping his hand may not have been effective.

MeltedChocolate · 07/02/2012 20:14

:( If it was an MC (hoping it was just some dead skin or something) will my body just sort itself out naturally? I mean, would I have to see anyone or can I just leave it?

OP posts:
Staverton · 07/02/2012 20:17

I would see someone as it may mean the coil isn't working/ fallen out etc

Have you kept it? A doc will know if it's embryo. Or if you could bear it you could post a pic.

MeltedChocolate · 07/02/2012 20:20

I have it and a pic, but the pic doesn't show the two bumps well. I wouldn't know how to post a pic though.

OP posts:
MeltedChocolate · 07/02/2012 20:23

It doesn't really look like anything. It looks just like long skin maybe about 5 mm long with two little bumps and blood in it, darker at one side

OP posts:
MeltedChocolate · 07/02/2012 20:24

It's also shrivelling up now so now sure it would be any use to take it (sorry, TMA)

OP posts:
MeltedChocolate · 07/02/2012 20:24

TMI even

OP posts:
chocolateyclur · 07/02/2012 20:25

I'd go with NHS direct or an out of hours appointment. It could also be part of a uterine cast (I've had one before and it frightened me) but from the shame it really sounds like a MC, so sorry Sad

FannyFifer · 07/02/2012 20:27

Sorry it sounds very very like a little embryo, I have had a few very early miscarriages in the past and it was pretty much as you described.

suebfg · 07/02/2012 20:27

You don't need to post a photo - google embryo at four weeks and you will see pictures for comparison.

ChippingInLovesEasterEggs · 07/02/2012 20:28

You def should take it & see a Dr x

FannyFifer · 07/02/2012 20:33

Here's a quick wee link.

KenDoddsDadsDog · 07/02/2012 20:36

You defo need to see a doctor to be checked out. Ring NHS Direct

MeltedChocolate · 07/02/2012 20:37

on phone now. it's a lot thinner than any of those photos so hopefully skin?

OP posts:
welliesandpyjamas · 07/02/2012 20:42

It actually sounds a bit like the kind of clotting I get with my periods, all weird shapes, clumpy and stringy mixes. Coils are smaller than you'd think too so the other option is that it might have come out - is it hard or squishy?

mumatron · 07/02/2012 20:44

I have had the except same thing happen. I kept it and took it to my GP. I had it confirmed as 'product of conception' (absolutely hate that term), so a miscarriage.

Mine looked nothing like a foetus.

MeltedChocolate · 07/02/2012 20:44

squishy, and really tiny. The bleeding finished so I am hoping that it may be skin and bits of left over period?

OP posts:
Magneto · 07/02/2012 20:51

I'm not sure about what happens with a coil in, but I've never had bits of skin with my period. I would go and see the doctor.
