Pig/Dog is amusing himself by taking pieces of (dry) food out of his bowl , throwing them on the kitchen floor , and then "killing" them .
It reminds of the way a cat plays with things .
Oh dear God , now he has found his tail . And whilst chasing it , he has knocked a kitchen chair over .

Think it's going to be one of those days Grin

Happy Friday People .

topsyturner · 23/09/2011 08:30

Just had to share this one with you .

DD - Mum , do you know Denmark ?
ME - Yes DD .
DD - Is it a country ?
ME - Yes .
DD - Isn't it a shop too ?
ME - Confused
DD - Oh , no , I meant Primark ..........

< topsy strikes geography degree off list for DDs future >

pinkstarlight · 23/09/2011 08:33

ha ha topsy mine also does that when you give him a treat but of course first of all he has to stick his bum in the air and bark while everyone shouts shutuppp.how old is he? mines 3 going on 3 months.

pinkstarlight · 23/09/2011 08:37

lol topsy my son once asked me if i had met henry vlll another time asked if they had buses when i was a kid, cheeky little git.

topsyturner · 23/09/2011 08:38

He is 4 pink , and an eternal puppy (pic on my profile of him)
He is now lying upside down on his bed with an old pair of DSs pants (clean)
Must be knackered after all his food killing and furniture rearranging ........

smee · 23/09/2011 09:30

Smile at Topsy's DD.

Pink and Topsy, I think your two dogs would get along, though whether there'd be any house left after they'd met is debatable. Grin

Kurri, hope your poor dog's okay today.

MAS, fish and chips made my mouth water and it's only 9.30am!

Bit like working outdoors here today as builders need all the windows open so that the paint can dry. I have two jumpers on already and a hot water bottle. brrrr...

MaryAnnSingleton · 23/09/2011 09:42

Grin @ topsy's dd !
Righto- am off to dentist- hope it isn't expensive....

OP posts:
cakesandale · 23/09/2011 09:45

Pink and Topsy - my dd actually (and I swear this is true) asked me when the world started being in colour, and whether we had liked it when everything was black and white. Grin

KK, ,I hope your little dog can be made more comfy. JRs are such tough little in-your-face dogs it is quite a shock to see them a bit off colour Sad

MAS - I have got the notebook thing too, I made sure it was a nice one so I'd like using it [hopeless airy fairy emoticon] I am also doing work but thinking, and the book is small so I can carry it around and make mad jottings on the hoof Grin

There will be no stopping us now, people - we have a very rough version of a very first page . If any of you are willing to answer tedious questions about treatment and stuff (day to day practicalities and feelings rather than intrusive medical stuff), we would be every so grateful

cakesandale · 23/09/2011 09:47

Ooh topsy I had missed that your dog is a GSD, I thought he was something small and long haired for some reason Confused. He is very beautiful!

smee · 23/09/2011 10:06

Cakes, I'm up for distraction helping, though as i've proved time and time again on this thread, chemo's taken my brain. If you want mush though, I'm your woman. Grin

Grin at your DD. Can't top that one. Apart from my DS declaring his ambition to be a lesbian, he's been strangely sensible of late..

pinkstarlight · 23/09/2011 10:08

topsy...aww hes a gsd so cute i use to have one was good as gold from day 1 nothing like the mutt i have now.blimey he does sound like my dog.

smee...err no thanks i have enough trouble with my dogs neighbour friends on each side even though i have a 6ft fence one side keeps digging under the fence and the other side barged straight through the fence yesterday poor neigbours only put the new fence up 2 weeks ago.

kurri..hope your vet can work his magic.

anyone else have trouble balencing boobs and gaping clothes after mastectomy even flipping vests under clothes are gaping.i keep catching sight on my softy whatever i do.to top it all i have spent a small fortune recently on bras and still only have one decent bra but its so matronly its sitting really high and is so stiff it hurts.

pinkstarlight · 23/09/2011 10:14

cakes...ask away

cakesandale · 23/09/2011 10:18

Thanks Pink and Smee, questions will be coming your way, though progress is v. slow.

Smee Grin I think the lesbian ambition is fab!

smee · 23/09/2011 10:26

Pink, I don't have the softie problem, as I had an expander implant put in alongside mastectomy. Still completely lopsided though as it flipped inside me, so is upside down and sits far higher than it should. Similar problem really then... Hmm

Cakes, DS is so stubborn he might just manage it. Grin

pinkstarlight · 23/09/2011 10:29

job centre finally got back to me what the hell someone more senior is phoning me monday they are trying to tell me if im ill i have to change benefit, well excuse me what part of i dont claim job seekers allowance do they not understand.i claim carers allowance for my son grrrr

cakesandale · 23/09/2011 10:39

Oh Pink, they really are tossers, aren't they?

I am proud of you for worrying them enough for them to be batting it up to someone higher up the tosser chain (although i suppose that may make them a bigger tosser)

topsyturner · 23/09/2011 10:51

pink - safety pin your softy to your bra , it will stop it travelling . Once you get your proper boob , it is a lot heavier so tends to stay in place better .
And I really do despair of job centers , government benefit offices etc . They really have a problem with communicating with each other don't they ?
Have you thought about getting one of the MacMillan benefits officers on the case for you ? They are really good at their jobs .

cakes - count me in , I have a dustbin for a brain so am sure I will be of great help to you ........ Grin

mas - good luck at the dentist , I used to be a dental nurse in my previous life . And did I tell you I used to live in a certain market town beginning with F which I believe is close to you ? < not a stalker - honest >

smee - Lesbian ? Snort Grin

My son also had a corker a few years ago when learning about verbs and nouns at school . They had to write sentances like "the dog was big and brown" etc .
His choice ?
My house is big and dirty .
All I can say is his house definitely isn't big !

GSDs are meant to be an intelligent and noble breed .
Well the kindest thing you could say about pig/dog is that he is great with kids Grin

cakesandale · 23/09/2011 10:57

That's worth a lot in my book, Topsy, especially combined with the good looks thing that he has going on.

Grin at your ds!

Thanks, I will note that you are happy to answer questions Topsy - they will be my favourite kind (no wrong answers) Grin

MAS - good luck with the dentist, I hope you have change from the £35

smee · 23/09/2011 11:02

MAS, booking dentist and car in one week, was an error! I hope you have change too.

arf at Topsy's boy. Your dog's gorgeous - mind you photos show you are too, and your kids are very, very cute. Smile

MaryAnnSingleton · 23/09/2011 11:08

oh your boys are so adorably funny smee and topsy !! and topsy's pig dog is lovely Grin
sigh- dentist has decided he wants to repair the repair he did previously (he'd warned me it was going to need re doing in a couple of years at the time) so Lord knows how much - as I was lying there he asked about my work and whether I was getting many commissions,so I did plead poverty in the hope that he might be lenient. Bugger.

cakesandale · 23/09/2011 11:21

Our neighbours are like a plague of locusts. We have two apple trees and far too many apples. We have told 3 or 4 people they can help themselves - the trees are in a part of our garden that we can't see from the house and it has a separate gate so we haven't been seeing them go in and out:but we have just been in to get some for ourselves and there is NOTHING left Shock

cakesandale · 23/09/2011 11:22

Oh MAS - bugger indeed Sad
