DS finally in bed . Uniform neatly pressed and hanging off the end of his bed .
He has a pencil , a pen , a back up pencil and 3 back up pens .
Think he may be over thinking this somewhat Grin

A prize ? No one said anything about a prize ?

You joined an Ancient Templar Sect ?
You learnt how to wear those strings of onions like a Proper French Person ?
You taught an owl to bring you fresh croissants for breakfast every morning ?

Give us a clue ? Am I getting warmer ?

amberlight · 01/09/2011 22:05

KurriKurri · 01/09/2011 22:12

Smee - crushing garlic with your knees?

smee · 01/09/2011 22:47

tsk, tsk for of course I could do all of those things before we set sail. Though I have yet to find that owl Topsy, who I have to say sounds mighty useful.

Waving to Amber. Smile Hope you're feeling a bit better by now and those pesky se's are gone.

topsyturner · 01/09/2011 22:51

MaryAnnSingleton · 02/09/2011 07:37

topsyturner · 02/09/2011 07:47

Oh yes !
He has been fully dressed and ready for 1/2 an hour already , he's not leaving till 8.30 Grin

SparkleRainbow · 02/09/2011 08:02

Oh topsy, what a shame there is not messy play in order for a 12 yr old Blush He looks very smart on fb, I hope he has a good first day.

Smee I am having a think about your new sill right now...........Hmm

Figgyroll · 02/09/2011 08:04

Morning all. Kettle's on fora Brew or two. Have had a real giggle reading about your ideas for Smee's new-found skill. Grin

Brilliant news re nodes Pink but sorry you've got a seroma too. Mine's given me a bit of cleavage so in a way I'll be sorry to see it go. Grin Did you get the top off okay?

Cakes, how annoying you've got to get a rush on. Hope you manage to get it done quickly.

Well done Sparkle (chick whisperer) re chick. Is it okay this morning?

KK, hope DH has a good journey home. I bet you're excited to see him again.

Smee, we're dying to know what skill you mastered on holiday? Grin

Topsy, I hope DS has a brill first day at school. You never know, his first day might involve messy play and painting. Grin

Haven't heard from breast clinic re draining so will call them later. Antibees have kicked in and infected bit of scar seems to be getting better. It's right where my bra goes so has been painful but hopefully wont be too bad when I get dressed later.

DS1 is back at school today. Apparently his classroom has been used as a dumping ground during the holidays so he hasn't been able to get his displays up till today or access any of his cupboards. Hopefully he'll get it all done before the children pile in on Monday. He's got a year 5 class this year and is really excited about it. It's lovely to hear him being so keen and enthusiastic.

topsyturner · 02/09/2011 08:37

He has gone .
His cousin is in the same class as him so kindly Uncle is dropping them both into school together .

That's another milestone .......... sigh , someone feed me Brew and cake now before I start bawling Sad . Don't think even Pringles will cut it this morning .

pinkstarlight · 02/09/2011 08:57

sparkle...hows your chick doing?

figgy...good luck with the seroma draining ,is it today your getting it done?

topsy...lol looks like you were not the only hussy pre op.hope your son has a good first day at big school bless him.

figgy...cheated by pulling my top down and stepping out of it,no way was i going to kill my self by taking it over my head.bought a vest top that has cups might try that today looks comfy but need to see if it gapes.

good morning to everyone else i have missed.

knackered today couldnt sleep last night as i couldnt get comfy,my seroma was causing lots of pressure and i just didnt know what to do with my arm.had a good look this morning pop eye springs to mind my seroma is bulging out in every direction good job im getting it drained later today. bit bothered that my collar bone is really obviously swollen usually the seroma is in round the scar, armpit ,side and shoulderblade.

my kids went back to school yesterday chuffed to bits that my sons full time TA has left she was a nasty piece of work with no patience and seemed to get a kick out of putting him down hopefully that means no more runs in with the school.anyway my son is really taken with the new TA says shes fat and lovely and he really likes her.

SparkleRainbow · 02/09/2011 08:57

Topsy Confused proud, happy and sad day, he will have agreat time I am sure.

Brew for me to, am sad we lost a little chick over night. don't know if it was the one I saved or its clutch mate, but it didn't make it up into bed last night and I missed it when I put them away, it either died of exposure, or rats Sad

Others are all fine though Sad

SparkleRainbow · 02/09/2011 08:59

Good news about your ds's TA pink, it will make all the difference. My ds loves his TA, who I would happily adopt (he is about 21)

pinkstarlight · 02/09/2011 09:01

figgy ..i have a yucky inch on my scar thats not knitted yet, letting the air get to it is really helping but not a good look.

SparkleRainbow · 02/09/2011 09:08

Ooo pink that doesn't sound good, never mind not being a good look!

pinkstarlight · 02/09/2011 09:18

sparkles...awww im really sorry you lost the chick such a shame.

im so pleased his TA is gone she was such a cow and really knocked his confidence, use to talk about him as if he couldnt hear her and interfere in his friendships.i complained so many times the school threatened an emergancy review to throw him out .

SparkleRainbow · 02/09/2011 09:24

[shocked] by that attitude from the school, I bet behind closed doors they knew exactly what she was like!!

Ds just came up to me and gave me a hug, saying I am sorry you are sad about the chick, I am sad too, but it is only a chick and farmers have got to be tough about these things Grin I love my ds Grin

Smee have you been honing your mother of the spy skills?

pinkstarlight · 02/09/2011 09:29

well the LA put the school in its place but must admit i was fuming at the schools attitude especially as my sons never had any problems in the past, hes one of the most placid chldren you could ever meet.bless your DS they really surprise you with their wisdom sometimes dont they.

SparkleRainbow · 02/09/2011 09:31

Wise beyond their years sometimes.....

How long does he have left at the school?

smee · 02/09/2011 09:56

Pulled up chair for a Brew, though Sad about the chick, Sparkle. How sweet your DS sounds, and how grown up does Topsy's look on FB?! Am sure he'll love it Topsy - mainline Pringles if it helps. Smile

Figgy, I didn't realise your son was a teacher. Bet the kids love him if he's that enthusiastic. Article in today's paper about the shortage of male primary school teachers - apparently one in four primaries in England have no male teachers at all. DS's school is 50:50, which is great but I hadn't realised quite how rare it is.

Pink, hooray for lovely new TA. Here's wishing your DS a fantastic year. You deserve a beaming boy. Mine doesn't start back until next Wednesday, which seems ages away still. Hope seroma draining brings much relief today.

Nobody's yet guessed my new skill, though am mighty impressed by the guesses (+ wish I was half that interesting!) Will give you some clues. I can do it standing up, and did it in the kitchen this morning. + DS is impressed, which takes some doing. Wink

SparkleRainbow · 02/09/2011 10:00

Ok that is intriguing! Hoolahooping?
