Keepyuppy with a ball (I am trying to think like your ds!)

SparkleRainbow · 02/09/2011 10:02

Zumba moves?

smee · 02/09/2011 10:09

Nope to all. Grin

KurriKurri · 02/09/2011 10:20

Oh dear what a shame about the chick Sparkle Sad - but well done your DS for saying the right thing, he is a little star. Smile

Good luck to topsy junior, - its nice he's got his cousin in the same class, at least he'll know someone.

Also to Pink junior - hooray for new fat and lovely TA, the last one sounds horrible.

Figgy, good luck to your DS1 with getting his classroom sorted, and for the year ahead with his year fives - I bet he'll have fun, they are great at that age.

For ladies with recent mastectomies, - its worth investing in some vest tops with a lace trim that come quite high up, then you can wear them under some of your lower cut tops, - so you don't have to completely revamp your wardrobe! Also you can get bras with a lace inset which covers up any scars or gaps.

Good luck with seroma draining today pink, hopefully you'll be much more comfortable afterwards. and hope yours gets done soon figgy, - good that the Ab's are kicking in.

I'm getting my hair cut this pm, (arranged when I thought DH was coming back on thurs.,) so hope I will get home before he does! I'm looking forward to seeing him.

Smee --- apache dancing?
nose flute playing?
standing on one leg like a flamingo?
singing the alphabet song?

smee · 02/09/2011 10:21

What's apache dancing? It's not the right answer, but am intrigued.. Smile

topsyturner · 02/09/2011 10:27

I've got it !
smee has learnt how to Burp the Alphabet Grin

Poor chick , and poor sparkle Sad

DS finishes at 1pm today , so I shall be an anxious mummy waiting at the window for him .
My house is so quiet , no DC , both at school .
Even pig/dog is lying upside down in his bed ignoring me Grin

I have bacon cooking in the oven for a sarnie , and whilst it's cooking I am snacking on some Pringles .
Seriously don't think the oncology team are going to be able to tell me off for losing too much weight this month Grin

Hope pink and figgy feel better soon - and I do recall spending 3 days in the same vest top as I couldn't lift my arm up high enough to get the damn thing off

KurriKurri · 02/09/2011 10:32
- its all about gangs, pimps and prostitutes Grin
OP posts:
topsyturner · 02/09/2011 10:43

kk - I think I might love Apache Dancing . Even if smee refuses to admit this as her secret skill , I think I might have to adopt it as mine !

MaryAnnSingleton · 02/09/2011 10:46

Good luck to figgy's ds and his yr 5s- so nice to have a male teacher -there are 3 at ds's old primary school - very popular indeed, my charge S was thrilled to have Mr Chalk (great name) this year Grin
Hooray for lovely TA for junior pink - makes all the difference i'm sure.
V sad to hear about chick sparkle- but how sensible is junior sparkle !
Am sending off some new pieces of work today- must scan and photograph them-then really must clean and sew labels on new school trousers.
Mainlining Pringles sounds good Grin
Hope seroma girls are more comfy today.

KurriKurri · 02/09/2011 12:02

I've just been standing at the bus stop waiting for a Bus that didn't turn up - why? - because I'd misread the clock and gone and hour early Blush Grin

OP posts:
topsyturner · 02/09/2011 12:12

Having a clothing 'mare today .
Have just about every item of clothing I own strewn across my bedroom .
Don't know what to wear today .

Sigh ....... Just know I shall end up in jeans , a vest top and my slouchy grey cardi !

cakesandale · 02/09/2011 12:39

Just scanning, posting and dashing out. Sorry.

But I am intrigued by smee's skill.

I was going to say something pelvic floor related but doubt that would impress ds.

So I am going for pancake tossing. Or reciting 'The Boy stood on the Burning Deck' while quaffing a pint of neat vodka, which would impress me too.

Figgyroll · 02/09/2011 12:46

Grin KK. I walked home from the village shop the other day, got home and wondered why my car wasn't outside my house. Yes, you've guessed it -I drove to the shop. Blush

Oh dear Topsy, you'll have to tidy it all away you know. I am wearing combats and a baggy t-shirt. I'm veering towards patterned tops for disguise purposes but have chucked out loads that really were too low, even with a cami/vest top underneath. Shirts looks lovely with a vest top and not too hot either. M&S do a 2-pack (black one and white one) with a lace edge on the top for only £9.99 (I think) and I'm getting a lot of wear out of them at the moment.

Very disconcerting today - walked the dog and bumped into a chap I know who couldn't keep his eyes off my bosom. Probably trying to guess which one is the falsy. Grin

Smee, my mind is boggling. Come on, what it is? Grin Plate spinning?

I'm still waiting for a call from the breast clinic. I rang them again this morning. They're not very good at ringing back I've found out. Hmm

Pink, are you cleaning the weepy bit of your scar with anything? I just use salt in boiled water and wait for it to dry before putting my bra on. I put a little dressing over it otherwise it stains my bra. I suppose I ought to go braless really and try to let it dry out.

pinkstarlight · 02/09/2011 12:47

sparkles..hes got another 2 years but i know hes going to be ok now.

kurri...enjoy getting your haircut and all the pampering that goes with it.

topsy..ha ha flipping nightmare.

mas...im so looking foward to getting my seroma drained again today, trouble is it keeps filling again.

i have to go out in an hour and im still not dressed im just about to go and do a topsy a throw all my clothing and underwear across the bedroom, wish me luck.

topsyturner · 02/09/2011 13:54

"Do a topsy" Grin

The boy is home ! He is happy . So mummy is happy !

smee · 02/09/2011 14:12

Yeay for Topsy's boy. Brilliant he got through day one and is happy. Result I'd say. Smile

Figgy, one of my friend's DH does the breast gazing thing. I always get an urge to lift up my top, to shock him into stopping. Hmm

On me, well nobody's guessed, though Topsy I'm definitely going to give burping the alphabet a go. And Cakes if we ever meet, we can share the vodka quaffing though I'll leave you to recite. Grin

  • Kurri, you're a hugely bad influence, as DS is at this very moment teaching his best friend to Apache dance. Much hilarity by the sounds of it, though am not sure our bed will survive the bouncing..

So... Drum roll for announcement (though I'd bet it will be a let down!), for Smee's new skill is skateboarding. I can jump on and whizz a few feet. DH has banned me from the street, so I have to scoot alongside the kitchen table. Strangely makes me very happy. Smile

MaryAnnSingleton · 02/09/2011 14:27

hooray for junior topsy !! and 'doing a topsy' should enter into this thread's vocabulary I think Grin
Am wearing jeans,a pink t shirt and a white shirt and green flipflops. I don't know whether anyone stares at my chest !!

MaryAnnSingleton · 02/09/2011 14:28

oh and smee- very impressed by skateboarding Grin

topsyturner · 02/09/2011 14:35

Skateboarding ???
Am impressed and also Envy
Never been able to manage remaining upright on one of those things Grin

cakesandale · 02/09/2011 14:58

Skateboarding is way the best that anyone has come up with. Bloody well done!

Good news for junior topsy!

Dh has gone away (AGAIN) leaving me with a disconnected phone (I didn't know we had had a bill, even), broadband that has gone down in a totally unrelated disaster incident, and no milk in the fridge. 'Sorry to leave you with the mayhem' he said jauntily as he went out Angry As you can see from the fact that I am on here I have got the broadband fixed, but no thanks to dh who decided to phone my mobile non-stop while I was trying to deal with the techies and try various fixes on my screen. I never had him down for the stalkie type, but he is remarkably persistent in the face of me disconnecting his call about 8 times in a row Grin

After they had gone, and i could take his call, he said "Well I was missing you" Hmm

KK, I hope and trust your hair is lovely, and that your returning DH likes it. I also hope he has brought gifts.

cakesandale · 02/09/2011 15:52

Just watched the apache dance. Crikey.

Figgyroll · 02/09/2011 16:09

Crikey in a good way?

Skateboarding? I hope you've got a skateboarding helmet, knee and elbow pads Smee. Grin

Glad to hear Topsy jnr had a lovely first day at school. He looked very smart in his uniform. No messy play and paints then?

Grrrrr, spoke to breast unit, they put me through to consultant's secretary, she spoke to consultant and apparently she doesn't want me drained because she "doesn't like her patients to have the procedure" but as far as I can make out the bc nurses do it every week at the clinic. Maybe they do it 'on the quiet'. Have spoken to rads lady and she says to go to the rads clinic next week and they will review the situation. I said I would stomp about in the meantime trying to get it to disperse.

cakesandale · 02/09/2011 16:18

Blimey figgy, I have never heard of that. Our lot did it routinely, and not - I don't think - on the QT.

I hope you can get it to disperse, it isn't a nice feeling, is it?

sandripples · 02/09/2011 16:20

Hi, can't keep up with all the posts but sorry about the chick.

Want to share some GOOD NEWS with you all - my DD has landed her first job!! Its the one involving researching stuff about food in German and then writing briefs in English - no I haven't got the han g of it either! But thrilled.

smee · 02/09/2011 16:30

Figgy, I dimly remember one of my various consultants saying he doesn't like to drain seromas as 'they get used to it'. Easy for him to say when he's not the one swelling up like a balloon. Hmm

The boys have just been throwing water bombs about in the street, which naturally I had to have a go at, but then the Traffic Warden (who some of you might recall, I have accidentally biffed on a couple of occasions Blush) was spotted by ever vigilant DS, so we all hid behind a wall until he'd gone. [phew]

Big cheers for SR's clever DD!!. Does researching food mean she gets samples?! I do hope so. Smile
