pinkstarlight · 03/06/2011 20:30

kurri... i have been taking pain killers and using ibuprofen gel which does help with the general aches and pains but its the day to day stuff like climbing stairs using my fingers and just standing on my feet which is very painful at times, mornings are terrible im just hoping its going to ease off over the weekend.

sandripples · 03/06/2011 20:40

So sorry about your cat Sparkle. I'm glad she lived her life in the sun with a lovely family.

Pink - yes hang on in there - I read my diary from last year sometimes and 12 months ago, mid-chemo, it seemed such a slog, but you'll get there.

What a beatiful day today. I was at work but managed a little walk and ice cream at lunch-time then this evening I've cut the front hedge - and while I was doing it I thought to myslef; this is hard work but its brill that this year I can actually do it!!

RWU - re you lurking? How are you getting on with your job and how are you?

pinkstarlight · 03/06/2011 20:55

thanks sands...its funny how we take things for granted must be great to look back knowing you got through it.

managed to take my daughter for a hair cut all i did was sit there, walked out like i had gone ten rounds with tyson.

MaryAnnSingleton · 03/06/2011 21:38

oh pink- the bone pain sounds horrible for you Sad
and sparkle-am so sorry about your little cat- so awful to lose a loved pet.
Had a v nice day with my friends, though got horribly lost on the way,but someone was watching over me and guided me there in the end -I made a series of fortuitous turns and somehow ended up at my destination- dh had printed out maps but lots of roads had no names on the map and I couldn't tell which end of the roads I was at - similarly going home, until I found the A3 !! fabulous lunch and so lovely to be with my friends.

Sparkle, sad news about your lovely cat... Sad

Pink, Sand, yup, seem to have hit an achey bit here. Going out with an old friend today - hope I'm up to it! I think my mental determination is outpacing my body at the moment Grin Blush
MAS, satnav?? Phone with satnav on it?? Has saved me from many a weird journey...

MaryAnnSingleton · 04/06/2011 08:56

hmm,one friend swears by sat nav and one doesn't - I like maps but these little roads were wee and cul-de-sacs without names ! that's my excuse....

Funny my dh's satnav tends to send me on weird journeys! Grin

Thank you for your kind thoughts about our little cat. The children were upset, dd2 couldn't understand really until I said she was broken. I was waiting for her to say, "she need new batteries" (her answer to everything at the moment) my dh was waiting for her to say "Daddy fix her!", cos he does with everything else. She just looked sad, and stroked her goodbye. Bless. Sad

Amber and pink I am sorry you are both feeling achey, bone pain is horried, and it is all so wearing, try and take enough times for rest.....whilst pushing your mental determination to its limits Grin

I am gald you had a good day MAS.

Kurri (arghh I always write gald instead of glad....why it that?) our fingers must be behind our brains.....or otherway round for me!

Ds has got his MRI appointment on 20th June, a couple of weeks time, I haven't told him yet. Still no news about schools for him, where is he supposed to go on Monday next week?

amberlight · 04/06/2011 09:07

Sparkle, you still don't know where he's going to school?? Oh my! That's just so arrgghh for you all...

SparkleRainbow · 04/06/2011 09:09

No still don't know, I have been waiting for a letter all week and still heard nothing. I guess i shall take him to the old school on Monday, and see what they say. Angry

amberlight · 04/06/2011 09:15

Urk...horrible ...

KurriKurri · 04/06/2011 09:56

That's so grrrr about the school, Angry on your behalf - I hope you hear something soon. And we'll be thinking of you when DS has his MRI.

Bless little DD2 and saying goodbye Sad

sandripples · 04/06/2011 14:41

Hello. Grr about school for little Sparkels - that's ridiculous.

Well as some of are writing about purchases....I was very organised about a wedding I'm going to v. shortly - had got whole outfir organised without buying anything new....this morning the brill sunshine said to me I couldn't go in that outfir (its the cerise and black one some of you will recall from my last party (the one if the freezer). Even though a slightly modified (for summer) version it just feels wrong to wear balck at all.... so quick whizz into town and now I'm wearing a lovely white linen dress with yellow and light grey design all summery! Have managed not to buy new shoes or bag so am being economical really (?) Anyway this feels very nice and I'd better set off now -- had a few mins to spare so popped on here.

KurriKurri · 04/06/2011 14:46

Dress sounds lovely SR - fresh and summery. - Enjoy the wedding Smile

MaryAnnSingleton · 04/06/2011 14:59

Wedding was nice and my dress felt just right! Have also realised I can wear to anoither wedding next week, and graduation and my brother and SIL's ruby wedding do in JUly!

Don't go and see a film called le quattro volte good reviews but not a single word spoken in whole film and I fell asleep!!

KurriKurri · 05/06/2011 20:14

I'm glad you enjoyed the wedding SR, - I'm so Envy that you have found a perfect dress, - I'm still hunting for something for DD's graduation.

I had a good days gardening yesterday, and dig out an enormous 4 foot high triffid of a thing that suddenly appeared in my garden its one of these - I don't know where it came from - I certainly didn't plant. It wouldn't have been so bad if it had come up beside the pond - but it decided to grow in the rockery Grin

I've been puppet making all day today - and still have quite a bit to do. - But more photo's will be shown next week Smile

I hope everyone else had a nice weekend, and that ladies on treatment didn't feel too under the weather.

KurriKurri · 05/06/2011 20:15

Oh - I think I would have fallen asleep in that film too SR!
