Misdee - sorry to hear that things are no better with Peter. As someone else has said a clot on the brain that causes damage is a stroke. No change in his dx just a different term.

You probably know this but warfarin and aspirin act in different ways: warfarin inhibits vitamin K to prevent clotting (I think) and aspirin acts on the platelets and makes them less sticky. Hopefully both of them acting together will help prevent this happening again.

I hope Peter recovers from this latest problem. I think of you all the time.

BudaBabe · 25/10/2005 08:33

Misde - I am so sorry about tall this. It just seems to be one thing after another for you both.

Don't know what to say except thinking of you.

screwyslittlegoblins · 25/10/2005 08:34

Oh misdee....your all certainly going through the mill, I echoe everyhthing that tigermoth posted and hope things improve soon. ((((hugs))))

Bozza · 25/10/2005 09:13

Sorry to hear your latest news misdee.

misdee · 25/10/2005 09:19

well i am going in later, my dad is going to sit with serena in the canteen (and no doubt have older ladies flocking around him again, because of the baby lol)

Peters morale is very low atm, and he feels useless and also thinks i'm gonna leave him, no matter what i say or do. He needs a lot of reassurence right now, and with me being ill since the weekend its been very hard going. Hopefully me going in today will reassure him a bit.

Misdee, so sorry When is this shit ever going to bloody stop! I wish there was something we could do, like wave a magic wand and everything be fine and Peter home.
Is anyone able to give you the likeliness of Peter being home for Christmas?

Weatherwax · 25/10/2005 12:42

I hope your visit goes well today and you and dd3 feel better. Peter must be feeling quite isolated in there for such a long time, I hope he feels more secure soon. It is obvious to us how much you love him.

jambuttie · 25/10/2005 13:05

hope all is well misdee thinking of you

misdee · 25/10/2005 16:18

He is very down. His sight is bad, he can see things drectly in front of him only in his left eye, nothing to the left side.

hunkerpumpkin · 25/10/2005 16:19

Thinking of you all, Misdee x x x

beetlejuice73 · 25/10/2005 16:28

I feel for both of you. You're doing so well.

northender · 25/10/2005 21:22

I know this doesn't help him physically but I've just been seeing a patient who had some special lenses made for his glasses which help that problem. I've never seen them before but they seemed to help him.

Stay strong x

northender · 25/10/2005 21:23

sorry should've said one special lens for the left eye

freakyzebra · 26/10/2005 14:22

Hey Misdee, tell him that all of us are thinking about him. He mustn't feel alone, abandoned or forgotten.
