so that is what has ccaused the loss of sight in his left eye. he has been perscribed aspirin as well as warfarin, surgeons will be consulted to see if he needs to be removed from the transplant list again.

misdee · 23/10/2005 20:38

How much of his field of vision is affected misdee?

Hulababy · 23/10/2005 20:48

Oh misdee I am so sorry about this further complications.

misdee · 23/10/2005 20:48

he has lost some vision in his left eye, not all but a fair bit.

OP posts:
misdee · 23/10/2005 20:50

why us? why cant this be easy? fgs, its just not right.

OP posts:
Tiggiwinkle · 23/10/2005 20:54

I am really sorry misdee. Perhaps it will improve quickly-presumably it is similar to the damage caused by a stroke, and people can make great progress in the first week or so afterwards cant they?

misdee · 23/10/2005 20:57

the nerves/are of damage needs to repair, and its more than likely to be months rather than weeks as we originally hoped. they are now certain it was a clot, and it has already gone.

kid · 23/10/2005 21:00

it just seems like a constant uphill struggle for you all Misdee. How long is Peter expected to remain in hospital? (sorry if this question has already been answered)

Tiggiwinkle · 23/10/2005 21:00

Oh no. You are right-it just isnt fair. Did the clot cause any other problems other than with his sight?

Frizbe · 23/10/2005 21:01

{{{Hugs}}} Misdee, hope things go Peters way soon

sunchowder · 23/10/2005 21:02

Ah, Misdee sorry to hear this, my good thoughts are with you and Peter. I hope this situation clears soon.

misdee · 23/10/2005 21:03

looking likely he wont be coming home til lafter transplant.

OP posts:
FrightfullyPoshFloss · 23/10/2005 21:06

Oh bugger. But will that mean he is a higher priority on the list? Just a hope.

kid · 23/10/2005 21:06

Now they are a bit clearer about the loss of his vision, will he be taken off the list or is he staying on it?
