mummylonglegs · 01/11/2005 22:30

Hiya Lucy! What have you been up to today then? Are you about to cast aside those fags then?

Its a national holiday today so everything was shut, dd is on half term, so ive played dominoes, snap, dolls houses, barbies, argggggggghh! Im reading alan carr at the mo although ive had to start again as I had a wobble about halfway through.

mummylonglegs · 01/11/2005 22:35

I've had so many wobbles I'm pretty much a jelly, lucy. Don't expect too much. Just give it your best shot and if you wobble, straighten yourself up and start again.

Remind me how old your dd is? Mine is literally just gone 3. We had half term last week and she was ill all week with a horrible cough. We did have one lovely day though when I took her into London to 'see the sights' which she's really been going on about doing. She coughed round the sights!

my dd is 4 , 5 in december. it's funny how they get ill in half term isntit? We took here to a halloween/toston festival [end of summer roasting chesnuts, drinking anis} last night but had to come home because she wasnt well. Missed the blooming adult bit of the celebrations !

mummylonglegs · 01/11/2005 22:44

Gosh, 4 going on 5 is a totally unknown territory to me. So, does she go to an English-speakig school or is she going to be bilingual? Are you in Spain permanently?

OP posts:
spookylucy · 01/11/2005 22:48

We have no plans to move but who knows. She is now at an international school, which is english speaking but has a heavy spanish influence. she started in a spanish school but didnt cope very well so we moved her.

4/5 is a nice age, im really enjoying it.

Where are you in th uk?

mummylonglegs · 01/11/2005 22:59

SE London, about 10 mins from Waterloo so fairly inner city. Where were you when in the UK?

OP posts:
spookylucy · 01/11/2005 23:11

I was in poole but live din London for 10 years before that. plumstead, woolwich, charlton and then ealing for 5 years. i do miss london sometimes.

mummylonglegs · 01/11/2005 23:24

AGH! Poole! The bane of my childhood. We spent every bloody holiday in Sandbanks near Poole because my dad's boss had a holiday home there and let us stay there for free. My brother and I longed to go ANYWHERE else.

BUT I remember lovely places like Brownsea Island and Swanage.

mummylonglegs · 01/11/2005 23:26

I'm gonna crash now lucy. Have a peaceful Spanish night. Sleep tight.

Hiya Lucy

mummylonglegs · 02/11/2005 22:11

No ... went to crack open another beer ...

What you guys been up to today then? I took dd to school, moped in the rain, then went to Tate Modern with dd to meet up with a mate and look at that Rachel Whiteread pile of white bricks. Great fun for kids to play hide and seek around.

spookylucy · 02/11/2005 22:16

My sister had dd so i took a little detour to the bookshop and cafe! . i came home and made pizzas with dd and then my mum took her to feed the ducks! Quite a good day actually.
