JJ, yes just chuck anything in, the beauty of the slowcooker is that the flavours mingle so it's always delicious. I always do a slowcooker meal on a monday, I literally sort dinner in the time it takes to boil a kettle.

Girl a work has lost 30lbs while on it though so it does work, she did sh*t herself once at MIL's house lol! had a fatty sunday lunch but still took her pill, just couldn't make it to loo in time, said at least it has focused her mind to be good
