Do you know, the more I post on here, the more I think I might be.....

Seriously. I've never typed anything without using a spell checker until I joined and when I do long posts, I try to C&P them to a word doc to check them.

Even then I get it wrong. Then instead of them, there instead of their and the like.

How do you know?

Sorry to hear about DD1 Brian xx

Mouseface · 22/02/2011 21:20

Right. Off to watch CSI.

Night all xxxx

BrianAndHisBalls · 22/02/2011 21:27

not sure mousie, i know dp is. maybe there's an online test?? saf will know she knows everything

TotalChaos · 22/02/2011 22:06

Assumed it was tiredness making you do typos, do you have to spell check handwritten stuff too?

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 22/02/2011 22:56

Hey all, just popped in to say Night. Smile

Bloody single mothers.

Have just been informed I am also a single mother. fuck Grin

thas what my mum does though 'single mothers blah blah' 'er mum, i was a single mother' 'oh yes but not your sort of single mother' Grin Hmm

mouse smells are back with a vengeance

Mouseface · 23/02/2011 10:13

Morning lushies.

Dubs - I heart your DD so much, she is just like DD was at that age, waffle, waffle, waffle, and, and, and, waffle. Grin

TC - yes I do have to spell check written down stuff anf often re-write things because of it.

BUT....... Blush Blush Blush

DH and I were talking about it last night and he thinks it's more an education issues, than a mental one.

That and a complete lack of solid sleep for the last 2.5 years, stress, head full of words I want to type but go too fast.

He says I skim read and miss subtle things......

Blush

SAF - niether do I but is it something? Like I'm missing things?

Anyway - Nemo lasted until 1am and then was in with me, DH to the mattress in the spare room.

I didn't take a sleeper so was wired until 2am when I caved.

Having upstairs re-wired next Wednesday. Brill. Hmm

Grin @saf, I can hear my mum saying 'but you were married Brian' Grin

Mouse - agree with saf re the education thing. Ive always loved reading, I can read a book in a day whereas DP would take a couple of weeks. He doesn't know stuff like there/their/they're and too/to etc which is weird to me as they sound different to me and I think that comes from a very hard English teacher who made sure it was second nature to us.

where is Bitter, she definitely needs her arse kicking.

Mouseface · 23/02/2011 10:56

I could read a book at day if I had chance Grin

I did on holiday a couple of years back. BUT last night I started to read in bed and the words wouldn't go in so I gave up and put it down to tiredness.

We had a great Eng Lit teacher, I don't remember much about the Lang side.

Ah well. Smile

Where is that fecking Bitter?

BrianAndHisBalls · 23/02/2011 11:13

she's hiding cos she knows shes gonna get her butt kicked.

Forgot to tell you, last night, when I was cooking dinner daydreaming in the kitchen, I noticed a flame out of the corner of my eye. It was once of those fecking chinese lanterns floating down towatrds the house, still wildly ablaze!

What if Nemo had been out there ot Wolfcub?

It hit the side of the house but it also could've landed on the wooden cabin roof.

I thought they were supposed to burn out before reaching the ground?

I had to go and put the damn thing out and then clear up all the mess.

Puppy club from Fish4Dogs has just arrived, very good discounts, first day of wolfcub being on it and so far, so good!

Bugger off Bakers Grin

TotalChaos · 23/02/2011 12:41

I hate those lanterns too, woman next door was alarmed a few months ago that a random object had landed on her car, turned out to be a lantern blown over by the wind.

Mousey - given you can work around it by using spell check etc, then is it really an issue for you? saf would know more than me due to her education background as to how far it's scanning/skimming etc. I remember a while back a pal of mine had scanning issues due to minor eye processing problems (can't remember any more details than that).

fish4dogs? so does your wolfy eat fish then?

Mouseface · 23/02/2011 13:13

Yep - he's on fish. He loves it! Smile

Re the reading thing, I skim, and miss things. If I take my time, I'm fine. The words come out of my head and hands, before I can check them IYSWIM?

Lazy I guess Grin
