DH should be home in about an hour. The thing I am most looking forward to this christmas is spending some time with my family.

Hey TC. DH has gone to bed with Flu,, so my evening has gone a bit tits up.

hey peepies.

they've all departed and i am free. have done santa's delivery and am just drinking his glass of port selflessly.

think i did good. everyone was happy, comfortable, well fed and watered, no one had to lift a finger and i guess that's what matters.

i've washed up tidied, frozen leftovers etc etc and it looks like it never happened.

pretty darn pleased with myself and ready to have no qualms about not doing a scrap of washing up/helping/blah blah blah tomorrow because i've done it all tonight.

is everyone in bed?

are we both still???? what dubs? gorgeous? undervalued? scarily intelligent?

bugger. boy is crying in bed. knew it was too good to be true.

Well, that was a crappy day. DH Managed to get out of bed to eat dinner, and has now gone back to bed. So my family Christmas turned out to be a week of child wrangling with no adult company on the day.

I'm taking DS to my Mum's tomorrow, the illings can stay in bed.

Oh dear sorry it was a bit pants bitter. Ours was nowt special after all the flood drama last nite xmas liunch was just roast veg and quorn sausages!

bloody freezing.

finally sitting down. have had to make cheese on toast and let ds eat it in bed whilst i read 4 chapters of the enchanted wood to him. he's been really ill bless him so had to feed him when he finally showed interest.

did rather well all day long then had a brief exchange of words with my mother right at the end. nothing too dramatic for anyone else.

i'm surprisingly sober, haven't eaten that much and not a taste of chocolate all day.

have they not brought water out to you? have you called it in to water authority?

don't know about ireland but there are laws here on how long they can leave you without water and then they have to deliver it with children, elderly, disabled as priority.

my poorly boy has looked up a little - thought i was going to end up in casualty this morning he was so poorly.

now tucked up in a chair wrapped in a blanket and watching a new film he got for christmas - laputa: castle in the sky. beautifully animated. i'm getting into the whole japanese animation, not sure he is but tough

supposed to go to folks house today but not a chance, gonna stay here and chill out and keep warm and please ourselves.
