Grin at you lot. x

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 30/11/2010 12:16

Afternoon.

The dog has just got out of the back gate and I didn't even notice until she knocked at the front door. Blush

SantaIsAnAnagramOfSatan · 30/11/2010 12:19

clever old porn dog Smile

think i'm going to keep ds home from nursery. i just want him here (how utterly friggin' strange!?)

have the kids been out in the snow bitter?

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 30/11/2010 12:21

Clever dog my arse, that's the second time this week she has forgotten her key. Grin

Not enough snow here to play in, they are still in their pj's watching a film.

ROFL at Porn Dog knocking on the front door!!!! Ha ha ha ha. Fantastic! Grin

Bubs - I just had visions of DD doing that to her brother, being bored of him so using him as creative material!!

Nemo has dried blood on his lips where they have split due to being so dry. It's times like this that I wish more than ever he would eat and drink normally Sad

I've got some little sponges to bathe his mouth with.

OP posts:
TotalChaos · 30/11/2010 12:33

poor love. probably but not much consolation but I've had that happen re:split lips when had a bad cold, and you know my coffee intake is massive!!!! best thing for that is vaseline.

Mouseface · 30/11/2010 12:42

Just bathed his mouth and dabbed on some vaseline.

Great minds TC Smile

Tomato soup and cheese on toast for lunch.

Oh, and an apple. This is a healthy eating thread, after all. Wink

Mouseface · 30/11/2010 13:29

Bitter - I am having that!!!!!!! Spooky!!!

This bathing Nemo's mouth and hooking his feeds up with Dioralyte is bringing back memories of the hospital.

'Mouth care' they call it. Clean their little tiny mouths and then dab on some vaseline.

He's dozing again so I'm going to JK. Nowt like a bit of shite TV to lift the soul.

No heating grant chap yet, maybe he's been snowed in? HmmGrin

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 30/11/2010 13:31

Poor nemo. Sad

What are you having for dinner? I need inspiration.

Mouseface · 30/11/2010 13:42

Chicken, watercress and mushrooms, cooked in garlic (chop the chicken into chunks/slices) with pasta, and a cheesy breadcrumb topping. Like a shepherd's pie but erm, well, not!! Grin

Dead easy to make Smile

OP posts:
SantaIsAnAnagramOfSatan · 30/11/2010 13:46

ooh that sounds nice mouse. will have to try that. what's the topping?

we are currently eating hash browns and fishfingers with our fingers and are back in our pj's.

decided to keep him home. he's not been too well lately and hasn't been eating much so a day at home of laziness and grazing will be good for him imo.

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 30/11/2010 13:51

DD is asleep, DS is dozing on the sofa.

I might do them scrambled egg later then start cooking again tomorrow.

BrianAndHisBalls · 30/11/2010 13:55

Got cottage pie for later i cooked it yesterday.

mole is back to screaming. temper though i think, wants to chew my phone and i won't let her.

pjs day sounds cool.

nemo [[[[]]]] poor little thing Sad

jk is weird mouse, entertaining but slightly strange.

Mouseface · 30/11/2010 13:58

Satan - two chicken breasts chopped up, bag of watercress (freeze it before hand and then all you do is scrunch it up and burst the bag into the pan), punnet of shrooms, bowl/three hand fulls of dried pasta (penne/twists), garlic (to taste so at least 3 cloves for us!) and a pint of chicken stock.

Put the chicken and garlic in some olive oil in a pan and fry, add chopped shrooms, grind some black pepper in, then add the watercress. Add stock and simmer, reducing down.

Meanwhile cook the pasta in another pan as you would normally. Then drain.

Once the chicken bit has reduced down and cooked, add the two together.

Mix for a while longer to reduce further then whack into a pyrex dish/oven-proof dish. Flatten down as you would a shepherd's pie and grate bread crumbs to cover. Then grate a nice cheddar and stick under the grill until it's golden brown.

Add lots of freshly ground black pepper and a cheeky bottle glass of sauv blanc to serve!

Job done. Smile

Brian - I hate those money ones when they are old and it's something like their life savings or a win on the bingo etc. Sad

Plus side with Nemo today is he has no temp! Smile

OP posts:
SantaIsAnAnagramOfSatan · 30/11/2010 14:46

that sounds good mouse - and pretty straightforward.

ds is asleep on sofa but i'm pleased that he's eaten cereal, banana, baked beans, hash browns and fishfingers. not exactly a healthy mix but good to see him eating. he had an upset tummy last night and would eat nothing but dry toast and he'd had a few days off food before that.

later i must do some ironing, sorting and packing for both of us but think i'm going to relax and watch an episode of prison break now whilst he sleeps.

glad no temp for nemo poor ting.

glad to hear you're eating bitter

SantaIsAnAnagramOfSatan · 30/11/2010 14:46

everyone ok?

Had a snooze on the sofa with DS. Need to go to the shop but DS doesn't want to get dressed.

Mouseface · 30/11/2010 15:21

Glad you have a bright boy Bubs, but sorry that you are having to punish too.

Satan - there's protein, calcium, potasium, fibre and other good stuff in what DS has eaten Smile

Sorry, was prenting again and stoking the burner.
