Ooh and before I go and have no one to rant to! One last stupid thing he said when I asked him why, when given a second chance, was he not trying everything to heal things, he said, "you may have said you were giving me a second chance, but you never actually gave me a chance"

Read that as "when you said I had a second chance that was supposed to be the end of all this, you were supposed to roll over and stop feeling upset all the time. You certainly were not supposed to be angry anymore. So it's your fault I haven't tried."

OMG you lot could talk the hind legs off a donkey. No chance of catching up.

I will probably have put weight on next week due to the huge amounts of cake left over from the party. Still got 1/2 the birthday cake and 3/4 of the carrot cake left. Most of the cupcakes have gone though as I asked my guest to take them home for the kids/hubbies.

My mum treated DH and me to a romantic evening in a local hotel with dinner and use of the leisure centre. I also had a couple of treatments with my birthday money. Firstly I had a lime & ginger salt glow and later on had a half leg and bikini wax. I enjoyed the 1st and endured the 2nd. We used the pool and steam rooms this morning after breakfast. I did about 10 lengths of the pool.

Off now to try and catch up with what the rest of you have posted.

Slow roasted lamb with rosemary and garlic, new potatoes with butter, homemade pink coleslaw

Thrice-baked cheese cake with cream
More red wine

French dessert wine (actually a present from one of the guests) and vodka-soaked morello cherries to nibble on.

Can I have an invite to the next one Trills? Sounds delicious.

I've only ever had 2 dinner parties. Come round for dinner any time you want but I can't do formal and fancy food.

In fact the last dinner party I had I just did Tapas and a big paella washed down with lots of Sangria, so not very formal at all.

Not so much on the entertainment, no, just chat and food.

Tatpa + big paella is 2 courses Bitter - and it's not as if I was messing around with amouse bouche or palate cleansers

OMG Trills that sounds amazing.

SAF, DS is getting that way, I have to make sure tea is ready about 5 mins after he wakes up, and be prepared for major cuddling. Only let him nap if he really needs it now.

Then I think some chilling with the family is in order. If MrM ever gets in! I sent him out into the jungle garden earlier and haven't seen him for ages!!

I love guacamole, but it's a pain to wait for avocadoes to be ripe.

DP won't eat pulses so I can't make chilli either, boo.
