Well, I'm just here for the banter and a chance to talk bollox, and we also do weight loss, WATER drinking (I'm the 'ficcial water monitor, and I have a badge), and heart to hearts..

I am the Mittz(not Mitts), I need to lose about 10lb, but get my head straight in the process..

I am sure one of my lovely companions will be along shortly......

Good morning and welcome Bula! And happy birthday. I have bought the odd Rosemary Conley mag as it's sensible and talks about calories rather than points or syns!

Alicetheinvisible · 29/07/2010 08:07

Morning

Welcome and happy birthday Bula

Special K and hot choc for breakfast here.

Nothing very exciting going on, but 11 days til due date.

Mittz · 29/07/2010 08:20

Morning lovely Alice and TC x

Lovely start to the day here. I have work later but am enjoying a chilled start.

11 days to go...

Alicetheinvisible · 29/07/2010 08:26

Yes 11 days and the littler bugger darling is still turning around at every opportunity which is so uncomfortable!

TrillianAstra · 29/07/2010 08:33

Maybe he'll be happier somewhere with more space to stretch... like out here

Alicetheinvisible · 29/07/2010 08:34

Well if you can try explaining that to him i would be grateful

TrillianAstra · 29/07/2010 08:37

Not til the kitchen is finished - or is there more extreme nesting to do when that's over?

Alicetheinvisible · 29/07/2010 08:47

Actually going well, worktops are in, sink is in, just need new plugs and tiling done, quite a small project really. Would be handy if it waited til after the weekend as we are planning on moving furniture back to it's right place on saturday, then going to cambridge on sunday to get new sheets for our bed (We only have one set that has to be washed and dried in the same day) a new kettle and toaster (bit of extravagence ) and a cheap DVD player to put with the portable tv which will go in our room to keep DD occupied while i nap. Not very exciting, but will feel happy once it is all done

Must go and get dressed and bath DD....back later

YouKnowNothingoftheCrunch · 29/07/2010 09:13

Morning all.
Welcome bula, and happy birthday

Another night of nightmares. At least it's a relief to wake up and find h hasn't actually done anything.

Mouse it's so tough moving away from people, I've only just settled here relatively recently. I don't think it'll ever really be home. But I have support and the dcs are settled. It's impressive what you're doing, not shameful realizing you have a problem and changing nothing would be . But not this x

Morning all

Sorry to disappear in a last night - had a RL phonecall and nattered rather late . Still, kept me from reaching for a drink/nibbles so maybe i should do it more often

Hey Mouse - i am trying not to drink in the week for diet purposes and it is a difficult cycle to break. Especially when you have stressful stuff to deal with all day. Chin up and

Alice - you can nearly count down on your hands

Yay for SAF's new friend. Well done you for getting 'out there' and meeting new folk

Glad your day has started well Mittz. Ours too. We are off to the PYO later and then for a swim this avo

CrispyTheCrisp · 29/07/2010 09:14

I agree with Crunchy - we moved here 6 years ago and i can honestly say i am only just getting to the point of having a good local circle of 'friends' and a couple of really good mates

TotalChaos · 29/07/2010 09:32

my friend moved to the UK 9 years ago, she still doesn't feel it's home!

hate this humid weather, it triggers too many aches and twinges.

Alice - I reckon your baby will come as soon as you get the kitchen and your room all sorted

Alicetheinvisible · 29/07/2010 10:16

Is it sad that i am excited about getting a microwave? Haven't had one the whole time i have lived here (nearly 5yrs!)

Watching some crap Baby stories on Discovery home and health to see if that helps get baby thinking exiting thoughts

Mittz · 29/07/2010 10:18

You tackle your Drinking Mouse and I'll tackle my lousy depression.

For me... Today will be better than yesterday because I am going to do something creative even if it is only for 1/2 hr. And tackle at least a couple of things on my mending pile .

Don't be hard on yourself. We are with you all the way.

Not humid here.

Right.. coffee and action. Big hugs and xx's to those that need and want them .

TotalChaos · 29/07/2010 10:22

snort at the baby TV! what worked to bring DS out a few days early was arranging a lunch date with my pal .

mittz - maybe it's more the moisture in the air than humidity per se?

Alicetheinvisible · 29/07/2010 10:23

Actually the baby stories is making me feel a bit ill, DD is riveted! Think i will put cbeebies back on!

Bula - hello, welcome!!

Crunchy - thank you for your kind words. xx

Mittz - yes, please. Let's battle our demons together!

TC - you were right to get it off your chest!!

Crispy -

Alice - I hope you are ok and not too tired with all you have going on! Not long now. xx

Well, I have had the most beautiful flowers this morning, calla lillies, the flowers that I had on my wedding day, 4 years ago today.

I'm off to physio and hydro later and we have had workmen here since 8am. Windows are in but don't match so I may have a meltdown and the builders are sulking because we have organised our own spark, seeing as though they couldn't be arsed.

Ho hum!!!!!

Mouseface · 29/07/2010 10:51

Double - well done!!! xx
