It's not like you ID, but don't stay away on our account. You are lovely for us when we are having bad weeks days.

Loud music help at all? And a dance?

Alicetheinvisible · 25/07/2010 10:35

Double especially for you (Johnny minus shirt)

Alicetheinvisible · 25/07/2010 10:36

Great minds Mittz

Mittz · 25/07/2010 10:40

Morning, (fatties) tis me, Mousface.

BOF - sorry you have foo fanjo issues!

Double - sending a bucket full of snicks (snogs & licks) your way. Don't let the feckers get to you!!! You are amazing and they're just bloody jealous of you resilience to life!!

Bitter - have a wonderful time!!

Well, it's MrMouse's birthday today so we are off out later with my parents for yummy pub grub. He's cooking a full english as I type.

He cooks, I clear up after him!

DS is a bit better today, only been sick once and I have changed his feed back to a more simple one if that makes sense.

Hmm, there may finally be a pattern emerging here..............

Alicetheinvisible · 25/07/2010 10:51

Mittz

Double i really admire single parents, especially those who have no support. I struggle when DH is away for a day! Put some happy music on and have a mad 10mins. It won't solve any problems but it may take your mind off things for a bit

ArmedAndDangerous · 25/07/2010 10:56

Double - it makes no difference if you are single mum or not. being a single mum is just an excuse for them to verbalise the critism stupid fucking ex and his family who critise everything i do with ds but dont have a fucking clue . "You need to repeat. they are narrow minded idiots, I AM better then them!" whilst picturing them wearing a nappy and sucking a dummy so something that they would find completely humiliating but wont make you boak but will make you smile.

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 25/07/2010 10:56

Morning

Busy day, ironing packing and changing beds - I hate coming home to an untidy house.

Double, can't rememember if you are a hugger, so have a virtual bowl of chicken soup. (Homemade of course )

DS used to love Carrie and David. It can't have done their reputations any good - they must have really needed the money

wasting - to cut a long boring story short:-re:NCT - classes were booked up so didn't go while PG, then when I met NCT mums at other M & T, I just met with blank stares when I asked what was on postnatally , I think I just met with a particularly clannish set, as in later years they do do picnics and stuff open to the general mummery. But by that time it was the severe language delay years, so I struggled in the M & T settings around mothers of typically developing kids. By background - at 3 DS had severe SN - by 6 it's mild SN (touch wood) - language/communication related. But it's all alienated me a bit from the whole M & T/school playdate type scene. I did make one good friend up at the school - except she then had to move hundreds of miles away as her DH got a promotion.

and there ends my little pity party!!!!

double - aw lovely, you always sound like you are doing such a grand job with your kids. it's hard being "the only single mum in the village", it was like that for my mum when I was growing up. sorry that 30 years later there are still narrow minded feckers about.

mousey - bloody typical that, sounds like the new feed has just made it all worse!

Gigantaur · 25/07/2010 11:28

morning all.

The dc are fighting and driving me mad.
DD just came in and said "can we throw DS in the bin and get a new brother please"

I cannot stand a whole day of being alone with two arguing children so i am off to my mums for a big fat roast.

Double - ignore them. some people are so far up their own arse all the are able to talk is shite.

On a brighter note Saf, you are a fabulous Mum with a happy healthy little boy.

I'm not here, I'm hoovering upstairs.

Mouseface · 25/07/2010 11:45

Double - xxxxx

TC - I know, wacth this space! I'm loggin everything for his nurse tomorrow.

Gig - yum. My mum does the best roast dinners. Other people's cooking always tastes nicer!!! Well, unless they can't cook!!

ID... oh lovey.. I haven't a clue what locals think. It's hard and it's OK to admit that I hope (or I a am buggered at the moment) .

I get more of a break than you seem to and I am frazzled and at the end of my tether so don't be hard on yourself.

Mouseface · 25/07/2010 12:07

SAF - I PRAY for a dx every day! At first it was severe reflux, then when no meds worked they were more baffled. He's always been tube fed. He has sensory feeding disorder too so won't let you near his mouth but will put objects into it himself, but never food

This, as it stands, is going to be a long term thing, the tube. They said he'd grow out of this at 4 months, then at 6 months and then said he'd be eating by one.

He's 15 months old. The next thing is a pH study but as yet I have no idea what that will involve.

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 25/07/2010 12:15

Mouse, so for your DS - I really hope you get a dx soon.

Double, I second what Mittz said, don't be so hard on yourself.

Saf, credit where it's due. He wouldn't be such an adorable little boy if you weren't doing such a good job of raising him.

(wonders what this says about my parenting skills and The Boy)

Forgot to say. Good news.

DS has been down to get his breakfast this week and hasn't helped himself to any extra food!

Despite there being at various points chocolate brownies, chocolate buttons and a cheesecake in the kitchen! (all sugar courtesy of my dear mother)
