Hey Norma, yes plumbing all sorted now still waiting for the bastarding bookcase to turn up though, i mean honestly it is only ever men that are this useless at getting themselves to places on time isn't it?

Mouseface · 20/07/2010 16:19

Yes, Alice, it is. Delivery drivers - men. Builders - men. Plumbers - men. Sparks - men.

I am going to re-train as an all round Handy Woman and buck the trend!

MAK - really? Have you fecked the diet off then? Not being mean, I just wondered if that means that will be all you eat today?!!

Have eaten:
2 pieces of toast and some camabert for breakfast
the bit of camabert that i left out for lunch
drunk 2 litres of diet coke
will eat mince stuff for tea

Problem is that i couldnt sleep last night and am functioning on only 1 1/2 of sleep. Am totally knackered so eat crap. plus am pretty useless at the diet bit of the thread. I am working on the duvet diet which tries to resolve food issues caused by sleep deprivation by working on the sleep part to start off with.

I think so Mouse.

Bitter, bugger about the tickets.

Saf, is this the volunteery thing? You should go. You put some effort into finding something to do. Do you think you've gone a bit shut-in? That's what I've been struggling with and am thinking of joining up to something in an evening.

God, I'm so tired. I've hardly done anything today. We've been for a walk to Range and playground and it was fine, but then DS was up the big slide, and it's too big. He turns around at the top to go down backwards on his tummy, but he was getting his knees tucked under, leaning over the side, and it is high and letting go of the rails at the top. I thought I was about to have a panic attack or something, I nearly burst into tears, and he wouldn't come down. I had to go up the ladder quietly and then sneakily grab him firmly to get him down.
And then he wouldn't walk with me, ended him standing in the middle of the field while I waited at the gate, and I ended up going and dragging him out.
He was prob just getting tired and is asleep on the sofa now, but it gets me so worked up.

I've had muesli, omellette with peppers and salad, yoghurt and crisps and a bounty. Not sure about tea, we were suppoed to be making soe tomato spirals off I Can Cook, but there won't be time now I don't think.

Mouseface · 20/07/2010 17:00

God, I hate those heart in mouth moments. Tis shite.

Er, Alice??!! Alice? Are you putting a bookcase together?!

LollipopViolet · 20/07/2010 17:01

We've had to ring a letting agent about the house next door. It's got NO number identification on it and my bag nearly went AWOL because the delivery man saw number 20 2 doors down, assumed the house next to it was our house, was knocking on the door for ages and was about to go when my granddad went up to him and explained that our house number was in fact the NEXT house and that house next door to us was in fact house 20a, and was supposed to be labelled as such.

So my granddad has had to ring the letting agent to tell the owner to get a number on it as we've had stuff left outside that house before, and takeaway people knocking on the door of an empty house thinking it was ours. Not good.

Spag bol tonight, home made so not too naughty

MumAlwaysKnows · 20/07/2010 17:27

Gigi - if you are about could you have a look at my thread in chat please. I suspect you have the answers i seek.
