sorry it's been a rotten day Mousey, would a big virtual snog help matters

Lizzylou · 15/07/2010 16:49

Oh Mousey, poor you and poor DS. You must be soo fucking frustrated with it all.

Now they'll all want one!

Knackered, we were about 50 minutes in the Barbers with an annoying little boy who latched onto us as his beeatch Mother was just constantly texting. To be fair, she was prob just fed up with him and wanted a break But I was just not in the mood to be a Kid's entertainer. They had all manner of tabloid newspapers and a 2 week old copy of Heat. Could have had a trash fest.

Mouseface · 15/07/2010 17:05

Lizzy - you are an amazing kisser.

I hate it when mums do that, ignore their children. I know it must be tough some days but still........

TC - muchos graseyarse. Very nice. But I expect a real one next time!!

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 15/07/2010 17:13

I'm off to get ready for an evening of cheap good food and lusting over Vampires.

Have a lovely evening ladies.

Jaquelinehyde · 15/07/2010 17:28

Hi peeps sorry I have been MIA for the last few days. I was at Port Lympne alllll day Tuesday (still aching today), and then spent yesterday at my Mum's before going to SW for my first weigh in.

Good news is I have lost 8 and a half pounds in my first week so I'm really happy

Bad news is after weigh in I bough some sweet and sour chicken balls from the chinese (cooked my own brown rice at home though) and wolfed them all down, and then today I have had two large ham and pickle baguettes they were scrummy though!

We have had good news and bad news today, DP has been given an unconditional offer for the applied social science degree starting September (So we shall both be full time Uni students, him in his forst year me in my last). It is excellent news, we are very, very happy.

The bad news is that my Dad (well technically my stepdad but he has been in my life since I was a tiny baby), who has been vey ill lately, went to the Doctors this morning and was told that he had 5 years to live!!!!

Mouseface · 15/07/2010 17:41

Jaq - you poor thing!! xx

God, how awful for your dad.

Talk about give with one hand and take with the other.

Well done on the loss. And DP going to uni.

Can I ask what it is that he has? Don't answer if you don't want to.

Home made Pizza here but it's a whopping 836 calories!

May as well forget today. Bloody carb cravings!

Lizzylou · 15/07/2010 17:59

Oh Jaq, what is wrong with your Dad?

Great news on the loss, but please, rein it in now re: eating or else or your hard work will be for nothing! You need to get serious Missus.

Fab news about your DH and his degree as well, what a clever household.

Mouse, I put in extra effort

Bitter, here you go

wastingaway · 15/07/2010 18:11

Hey hey! Will catch up tomorrow, just popping on while DH is getting his bag packed for the weekend and DS is snoozing in buggy. (Must wake him up soon!)

Been to York, and had Pizza Express. Yum. They do something called Dolcetti I think which is a tiny dessert with your coffee. Just perfect for a little treat.
I've done nearly 13000 steps already too.

I shan't report on exercise for rest of day.

Bye!

Lizzylou · 15/07/2010 18:23

Wasting, on top.
Have a lovely anniversary evening

Jaquelinehyde · 15/07/2010 18:34

Thanks ladies, the weight loss is great and I am very happy with it...Lizzy I hear you loud and clear, I am having a couple of boiled eggs and toast for dinner, lots of fruit and a yogurt washed down with water.

I haven't taken my tablets today either so I shall begion that again from breakfast tomorrow. I want to live and to do that I need to kick ass in this diet, 'nuff said.

My Dad has been unwell for sometime now, he was diagnosed with COPD a few months ago and has now after several hospital appointments (being injected with radiactive stuff to show all his viens working) they have advised that he has an extra tube that doesn't appear to go anywhere (utter confusion, but not apparently a problem) and he has serious narrowing of his arteries that will need surgery and his blood pressure is dangerously low!

He has always been extremely fit and healthy and is only 52!

He has been signed off work for another 3 weeks (he has been off for 4 weeks already) and has an appointment with the occupational therapist at the hospital next week (this is usual as he works for the local government)

He (and my DM) is also under huge amounts of stress even more so with the deteriorating state of my sister mental health.

I feel very sorry for them and just want to make it all go away

Jaquelinehyde · 15/07/2010 18:37

Sorry that was an epic post with far too many spelling and gramatical errors!

Gigantaur · 15/07/2010 18:39

I concur, on top is the best workout. it is especially good for me as i try and hold me belly in so i am effectivly doing sit ups

Jaq - yay for your loss and your DP getting into uni.
but im sorry to hear about your dad. is there anything he can do to give himself longer?

we had pasta and meatballs. all homemade. Marco showed me how, oh did i mention i had a lesson with Marco? no? however did that slip my mind?

This is only one Dr's opinion and was only offered as an answer to a direct question from my Mum about life expectancy, so this could alter massively I'm sure!

NormaSknockers · 15/07/2010 19:18

Evening all

Sorry for being useless & not being about but thank you for you texts/messages means a lot Have had a really good few days with DH & the DC which has really bolstered me along & have used DH as a sounding board so feelig much, much brighter & more with it DH needs the laptop for some work so won't really be on tonight (isn't it about time MN had an app/mobile version would be so much easier!!) but will catch up tomorrow!

Evening all!

Ended up doing 10 minutes on the treadmill which is good and going swimming tomorrow so the 2 days of not exercising are behind me

Homemade chili with egg noodles tonight, was very nice. My grandparents are sort of slimming with me and my gran reckons that we could lose 6-7lbs in a week! Which sounds like lots to me lol!

Jaq - so sorry sweetie. I hope that your dad proves them all wrong.

DS had narrowed arteries. He has had 5 hours of open heart surgery and a heart and lung bypass. All at six months old!

He's still here. Despite all of the doctors telling us that might not be the case!

Get a second opinion.

xx

Mouseface · 15/07/2010 20:42

Right. I am beyond pain and way past tired. I need my bed. I need to switch off.

I'm home alone again tomorrow as MrMouse is meeting clients and interviewing again all day.

Will you keep me company? Feeling really blue which is selfish to say given what some are going though - Jaq.

Anyway, going to say goodnight.

Love you all lots.

Sleep well Shiney peeps. xxxx

Hi all, haven't read, lots of meetings this afternoon, the landlord came round and said he is putting the flat on the market. HE's being very decent about it, but basically we are at some point going ot have to move.

Have now seen a 3 bed house to rent, £100 more a month than our flat currently costs, looks quite nice. Considering going to have a look at it. Should really get a cheap place and save up to buy somewhere, but I hate the thought of living somewhere grotty.

TrillianAstra · 15/07/2010 21:30

Jaq don't worry about '5 years' - if the doctor was pressed then 5 years means 'you're not dying right now, stop asking questions to which I don't have the answers'.

Well done on your loss.
