Yes, she's a hottie isn't she and seems so gracious.

I am fairly comfortable with my body and looks, I just don't like who I am so I would like to be a cross between Uma Thurman, Penelope Cruz and Whoopie Goldberg.

Mouseface · 14/07/2010 09:34

Morning, tis me, Mouseface.

Crunchy - a belated good luck for today even though you won't read this in time. Hope you got there without more drama! Bloody roadworks.

Alice - I painted DD's room at 36 weeks. I was so restless! My mum went bonkers but I just needed to 'do'! Take your time though please.

Mittz - I love who you are. Don't change.

LollipopViolet · 14/07/2010 09:41

Hi all!

Well, yesterday went really well. Me and my mate had a HUGE plate of salad from the buffet thing at Pizza Hut, which was great as we could pick exactly what we wanted on it and it was very nice. And then we went to a health food shop and bought rice crackers to munch on in the cinema instead of popcorn All this accompanied by lots of water and a cup of tea in the morning before we went for lunch.

Managed to bag a bargain in the Dorothy Perkins sale as well. Got a top for £12 that should've been £30. And a pair of shoes for £10 that should've been £45! So a good day right there!

Have had breakfast and will be going swimming in a while, but AF keeps tricking me. I think she's arrived, go to the loo, and she's not there. Must be any day now though, surely!

Mittz · 14/07/2010 09:53

Links to shopping purchases LV? Sounds like a good day
They do flavoured rice cakes don't they?

Thanks Mouse

Right... off iron mountain climbing.. smoke me a kipper, I'll be back for lunch Mwah xx

LollipopViolet · 14/07/2010 10:16

I shall find you some links I'm not sure about the flavoured ones. Our bag was a mixed variety of all little shaped ones and stuff!

shoes

Cannot find the top anywhere on the website so I'm assuming it was a "store only" item that they just happened to have or something It's basically a silk like printed jersey top

Mouseface · 14/07/2010 10:17
BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 14/07/2010 10:23

Morning.

I am so bloody exhausted and tearful.

Good luck with the interview crunchy.

Your evening sounds lovely LV. I'm going to the cinema on Thursday, with dinner beforehand. Must try to be good.

I am all shopped out after yesterday. I got DD some shoes at work for £1.80.
They are a pre-walker, but I figured for one day they won't do her feet any harm. Bargain.

I have a mountain of stuff to do, so will catch up later.

LollipopViolet · 14/07/2010 10:23

Well annoyingly I'm not swimming today because AF is being so tricky. I'm starting to get a little stomach cramp which is my surefire sign of her arriving either today or tomorrow and I SO do not want a mishap in the pool! So I shall do some exercise here, will save me some money anyway!

Mouseface · 14/07/2010 10:36

LV - sorry, I thought you were going to risk a swim. Fair point though, not nice having accidents, let alone in a pool. I use tampons for when I go to hydrotherapy. Although the pressure of water means you don't bleed in the pool. But you will when you get out so ignore me completely please.

LollipopViolet · 14/07/2010 10:50

Oooh mouse, my friend who has cp says her schools hydro pool was lovely and warm, like getting in a bath. Is she telling the truth? My local pool is FREEZING! Hope all is well with you, what with having hydrotherapy and that

I think I'm going to do some Wii Fit later. Might do some dance-y workout thing if I can find a good one on Youtube!

Mouseface · 14/07/2010 11:05

LV - it's lush. Just like a bath and usually around 34 degrees c.

I have hydro and physio twice a week as I had severe SPD - symphasis Pubis Dysfunction - when I was pg with DS who is now 14 months old! I've been on crutches since I was 24 weeks pg with him so this has been going on a while!

Anyway, I now have issues with my pelvis and sacroiliac joint on the right hand side. In simple terms, my pelvic halves are out of line, one goes forward, the other back and I have severe inflamation of the joints connecting it all together!

Glue factory for me! They have said it could be another 2 years before I fully recover. It's very frustrating. Some days tha pain is unbearable and worse when AF is around.

Sorry to waffle on........ but now you know, I'm a broken Shiney!

TrillianAstra · 14/07/2010 11:11

If I wanted to swim but was anticipated the imminent arrival of AF I would go for a super-tiny tampon (so it owuldn't be too nasty to take out even if nothing had happened, IYSWIM).

Mitts on the 'normal' pill you bleed regularly but you still don't ovulate. I think the eggs just don't mature so stay as unready eggs in your ovaries (as they would if you were pregnant, you naturally don't ovulate then).

wastingaway · 14/07/2010 11:14

Morning fabulous gorgeous ladies.

I have Shredded. I looked at Level 2 too, first time I dared. Might give it a go to convince me that Level 1 isn't that hard.

Some fucker was revving a knackered motorbike on and off for half an hour last night. The fuckers.

LollipopViolet · 14/07/2010 11:18

I looked at the Shred thing on itunes. But looked at a promo on Youtube and said no thanks!

I've just lost out on some paid work for uni as well No job this summer so money is a little tight! Stupid lad in my year took it upon himself to set up an event on Facebook advertising it, so I thought "I'm free those 2 days, I need money, OK, I'll do it." He's now posted on my wall, did I talk to the lecturers while we were in uni, I said no but they knew I was in the area all summer, it being my home, and I was free. He's come back saying that they've got enough people so I'm not needed. The uni pays like £7 an hour too, 9-4 for 3 days, so a fair bit of money! He's now realized the mess he's in and cancelled the Facebook event!

Mouseface · 14/07/2010 11:30

Wasting - hello you! You sound like you are doing great with the shredding!! I have the DVD but I'm waiting for the all clear from physio in about 8 weeks to do selected bits of it.

I got it for the time aspect, not the exercises as such. I need little busrts of ass kicks.

My physio is borrowing it to tell me what I can and must not do - on pain of death - so I'm happy with that.

LV - that is shite for you!

Trills - good idea re the tiny tampon. How are you?

wastingaway · 14/07/2010 11:36

Mouse, there's lots of upper body exercises, so hopefully the physio can pick some out for you.

I have put a sticker on the calendar today and will get one every time I Shred.
I think visualising like that helps the motivation.

Lizzylou · 14/07/2010 11:40

Have sorted my IT out, DH had already told me what to do last night but I wasn't listening
Ah well.

Wasting, I find Level 2 OK, prob better than Level 1 and now I'm into Level 3 can't understand why I was ever so scared of it. You'll be fine, just follow Anita!

Mouse, it is bloody cold isn't it? Your bum pinch was luvverly, cheers.

Bitter, you OK lovely? Great bargain on DD's shoes.

LV am impressed with your willpower at Pizza Hut!

Have just been speaking with the Lady who does the courier deliveries. She is having a gastric bypass in a few weeks, she told me her weight and I was astonished, she doesn't look anywhere near that. She is very brave, she said she's been dieting almost all her life, loses the weight and then puts it back on and then more. She will get counselling and 2 years aftercare with this so she is very hopeful. She is really active as well, I always see her walking her dog, she was saying she was classified as super morbidly obese, which she doesn't look at all.
We both agreed that it isn't as easy as Eat less Move more for a lot of people.

Mittz · 14/07/2010 11:42

Oohh I like that idea wasting.. so what do you get when you get enough stickers? [sucker for a treat emoticon]

I am a moon-cupper and have never had qualms about going in the pool.

Bummer LV.. perhaps something will turn up, will have a thunk for ideas for you

Winkers Wasting.. always handy to have a bucket of icy water for events like that!

Mmmm.. that kipper's smelling good Mouse xx

YouKnowNothingoftheCrunch · 14/07/2010 11:52

Lv I'm sorry to hear about that job.

Mittz glad you're feeling a bit more positive today

A big thank you for all the good luck! I managed to get there in plenty of time. But I think I might have done my worst interview ever. The girl in front of me must have been in there about 45 mins, I was out in 20. I garbled the whole thing. Ah well. Didn't want the stoopid job anyway

Right, I need an enormous coffee to wake me up!
