I love Alastair and Rory!

Rowgtfc72 · 12/06/2024 20:29

She's definitely being nicer to Rishi.

BIossomtoes · 12/06/2024 20:31

I thought my bias was showing. Glad someone else thinks so.

stripycats · 12/06/2024 20:32

Uurgh - the constant 'ok, ok,' as soon as Keir started talking was infuriating. She's not doing it to Rishi but has gone for him over a few things.

She’s just skewered him on migration and Brexit.

Takoneko · 12/06/2024 20:45

It’s definitely a different approach with Sunak but also effective.

I suspect he’s going to get savaged by the audience based on the reactions so far, so I think her being slightly softer was probably a deliberate attempt to balance that.

Whenwillitgetwarm · 12/06/2024 20:46

She was definitely harder on Starmer throughout but she eventually came into her stride on Sunak. I loved that she mentioned Brexit. It’s important Leave voters realise Brexit did the opposite of what they voted for.

stripycats · 12/06/2024 20:49

She definitely got tougher on him and the audience seem to despise him!

ilovesooty · 12/06/2024 20:51

I don't think the audience believes a word he says.

I don’t think he believes it.

AddersAtDawn · 12/06/2024 20:53

The audience do not look like they are buying what he's selling.

stripycats · 12/06/2024 20:53

Fuck - he might s well just go home...

ilovesooty · 12/06/2024 20:54

His helicopter will be standing by.

ilovesooty · 12/06/2024 20:55

The more he puts on the sad and sincere face the more untruthful he seems.

FiveFoxes · 12/06/2024 18:51

I can't watch it as I am deprived person and don't have Sky...

You don’t need Sky. It is on Sky news, a free channel.

NameChangeBilly · 12/06/2024 20:56

haribo / twix controversy - WTAF AGAIN !

stripycats · 12/06/2024 20:57

Someone just pressed his bullshit button...

I think Rigby did a good job. It’s right that Starmer is pressed hard. He’s 20 points ahead in the polls and likely to be PM in less than a month.

I’ll be voting Labour and I think Starmer did a good job. He’s a bit dull but did well on the important questions and the audience reaction seemed mostly positive.

If Rigby and the audience are equally hard on Sunak then the next 45 minutes could be real car crash TV. I almost feel sorry for him.

Good post

Can anyone confirm what Starmer said when he was asked about if he is using a private dentist??

Dont forget, in the previous live debate between Starmer, Sunak -
Starmer clearly stated hw, his wife, his family do not use private HC and his "DNA" is with the NHS

No one believes he's excited about his daughters doing national service.

He said that he is registered with an NHS dentist but as adults he and his wife pay privately for what is not covered on the NHS but his children (who are covered by the NHS) receive NHS dental care.

I hope they are not paying your for this if so I would want my money back. That "Distinquished" is doing a lot of heavy lifting.

I don’t like Beth Rigby: she whines too much and lets them walk all over her
Dislike Sunak more each time I see them
He seems very pleased with himself

Wasntmeanttobelikethis · 12/06/2024 21:02

See him

Many thanks
What is not covered by the NHS? I'm guessing its cosmetic dentristry

Many thanks for the head-up, appreciated!!

You are right. Rigby is normally very vocal and assertive. Today, she does not seem like the same person

In fairness to Rigsby - she given the same treatment to both of them Sunak//Starmer
