Tonight's TV debate Sunak v Starmer - any predictions?

(Bingo suggestions: natural party of business, Labour has no plan, end the chaos, Rayner will take over, assorted references to Starmer's time as DPP probably blaming for Jimmy Saville again, inflation is down etc etc.)

At this point I seriously doubt anything like this will remotely change the game Nick Clegg style. I read somewhere the only way Sunak could come out of this ahead in the polls is if Starmer pulled off a mask scooby-doo style to reveal he's Jeremy Corbyn, which admittedly would be great telly.

I'm so fed up with the endless rhetoric but will definitely watch later anyway.

I'm thinking Starmer is coming across stronger then ive seen him before.

Sunak is making my blood boil with his petulance. The 45-second answer format is ridiculous though – they can't answer anything properly.

I’m fully aware that education, the NHS, etc are in a mess, but Starmer has yet to explain in any detail what he plans to do about it.

Sunak is a fuckwit. Our legal system works because even the very worst offenders are entitled to a defence, and throwing that out as a bad thing shows Sunak has no understanding of how British law works.

Well, hopefully someone will ask, Sunak will give us an answer and Starmer will talk about Liz Truss.

I've been a Labour Party member for many years and there aren't many things I want to see more than an end to the current government, but from what I've seen tonight, I think keir starmer has made a complete prat of himself. I've always said that you should vote for your local candidates and the policies of their parties, but I think I am having second thoughts having watched this and I'm sorely tempted to vote for the Workers' Party instead. 😳
