OvO · 04/10/2011 20:14

My DC love all the Toca Boca apps. Play them over and over. Where's Wally is great too.

I love Monopoly, Scrabble, Lego Harry Potter, and Geared.

OvO · 04/10/2011 20:17

Doodle Find, Horrid Henry, Sonic Racing, Shrek Karting. I'm going through all my folders to remind myself what my DC play most.

mistressploppy · 04/10/2011 20:50

Another vote for Toca Boca - my DS has loved the tea party one for iPad since he was about 18mo.

We also like SoundTech - lots of animals/vehicles/musical instruments etc with sound effects. Good for vocab for young toddlers.

I like Tiny Wings, Cut the Rope and good ole' Solitaire Blush

RustyBear · 04/10/2011 21:03

Little Things is good - you have to find pictures of little things inside a bigger picture

Also Pictureka is a good 'finding' game

bananafrosting · 04/10/2011 21:09

machinarium! totally outstanding! not really for kids though, they don't have the patience (well my kids anyway).

VivaLeBeaver · 04/10/2011 21:13

Pictureka is fab

PigeonPie · 05/10/2011 13:27

I was going to say Little Things too. Great, but a bit of a time waster, which is fine if you've got time!

The ap for TED talks is great - and the talks are fantastic. DH downloaded some talks for a train journey a little while ago and kept himself happily occupied.

Jigsaw Box is good for children and adults for basic jigsaws.

Shanghai Lite is a good Mah Jong game.

UNO (one player or family)
Smurfs
Star walk (great for star gazing, tells you which star is which and satellites too)
Fruit ninja
Plant v zomies (totally addictive)
Marble mixer

Blatherskite · 05/10/2011 13:50

We had Machinarium for the PC. It drove me nuts!

I'd love more aps for DS but we've got a HP touchpad not an iPad so can only run a handful that have been converted Sad

johnworf · 05/10/2011 14:15

Criteroos, Osmos HD (DH addicted), boggle, big & small, in the night garden, eBay, next, h&m.

TheSandstoneCat · 05/10/2011 14:52

Scrabble, kindle for iPad, cut the rope, shape shifter, yahoo, newspapers, tunein radio (a must for xpats!!), FIFA, weather+, google, dropbox - if I can get it sorted, Skype.............

TheSandstoneCat · 05/10/2011 14:54

....should also have added Paprika, for storing recipes.

dizzyd12 · 05/10/2011 15:38

In our house we're big fans of:
Cinderella by Nosy Crow - fun, clever and English voices which is nice for a change
Singing Fingers - finger painting with music
ABC Go - good for learning letters
Toca Boca Robot Lab

VikingBlood · 05/10/2011 15:39

I got hooked on Cover orange.

alibubbles · 05/10/2011 16:25

glastocat · 05/10/2011 16:31

There are so, so many, but as an expat (ireland) I have to say that the BBC Iplayer app is well worth the sub. I've been watching Jane Eyre in the bath - bliss!

I love We City, Channel 4, Tiny Zoo, Machinarium, Reddit, Stumbleupon, Plants v Zombies, I could go on and on!

glastocat · 05/10/2011 16:32

And Angry Birds is ok, but my kid prefers Trucks v Skulls. Grin

HelsBow · 05/10/2011 16:39
