Bigearringsbigsmile · 24/04/2024 22:46

Ceramic tiles, fake grass, big garden sofas. Garden rugs

Lucylaughing · 24/04/2024 22:48

AstroTurf.
Lots of plastic gnomes and spinny things.
"Sterile" / Ibiza style with mostly or all hard landscaping and just seating - e.g. a courtyard or container garden is nice, but not something with no life in it.
A great big lawn with a few tiny skinny borders around the edges

Also not too fond of tropical style planting, although if it was done well and I moved in I'm sure I could come around.

musicalfrog · 24/04/2024 22:48

Mirrors. The birds attack them and sometimes hurt themselves 🙁

ErrolTheDragon · 24/04/2024 22:48

Black plants.

cushionfiend · 24/04/2024 22:57

Grey plastic garden furniture pretending to be rattan.

A pond with frogs 🐸

Is that a trend? I feel like garden ponds are quite old fashioned. That said I have got a small one with a resident 🐸 😂

Yy to fake grass and black or grey fences.

Changingplace · 24/04/2024 23:03

Fake Astro turf grass and no real plants.

MegsNaiceJam · 24/04/2024 23:06

Fake plastic grass
Fake plastic plants, especially those fake box balls or lavender topiary balls.
a shower curtain!

Blarn · 24/04/2024 23:06

A bbq built into a fake grass box. Seen in a recent house for sale near me.

A garden covered in wooden decking.

bombastix · 24/04/2024 23:12

@Fizzadora - I like plants not plastic

fridaynight1 · 24/04/2024 23:13

All traces of plant life removed, plastic grass and black wooden clad shed/garage/aircraft hangar/secret nuclear bunker type building.
All the above apply to my neighbour.

DazedAndKerfuddled · 24/04/2024 23:13

A shower curtain pretending to be a fence panel... just no

Craicbaby · 24/04/2024 23:13

Cordylines and that indoor/outdoor thing that has people hanging chandeliers on the pergola.

olderbutwiser · 24/04/2024 23:14

Raised beds unless there is a good reason for them. Especially token raised veg beds in a sea of grass or woodchip.

Screamingabdabz · 24/04/2024 23:14

Most of the concrete wastelands that win gold at Chelsea.

fridaynight1 · 24/04/2024 23:14

Palm trees

Sibs10 · 24/04/2024 23:16

Plastic edging - the flimsy/brittle stuff that's supposed to look like wrought iron.

Lazy spa.

Trampoline.

Solar lights - they look rubbish and dim after a year and can't be recycled.

Pointless lawn or area of grass that isn't practical for recreation (kid playing football for example)... Conifers - the most sad of all trees and they always outgrow the space. I cant be bothered shaving my legs, let alone grass and sterile trees.

Grey gravel - the cheapo stuff that looks like concrete chips.

J0S · 24/04/2024 23:17

Wind chimes

DrMadelineMaxwell · 24/04/2024 23:17

We have fruit trees. Also redcurrants, blackcurrants, whitecurrants, strawberries, blueberries, raspberries and loganberries.

And a frog pond. Last time we dredged it for maintenance we had 70 frogs of various ages living in there. Don't know where they'd go if we got rid of our pond as they come back to where they were born to mate (loudly) in the spring.
