@SwtPeasOnEarth
You know I hadn't noticed the purple leaves lol
I planted 3 peony on the pot so maybe a different sort ...,pretty though.

Robin233 · 23/11/2021 07:46

@SwtPeasOnEarth
Passion fruit not doing a lot but not fell off anymore.
The one in the town I see has still got several flowers on it.

SwtPeasOnEarth · 23/11/2021 10:17

@Robin233

As I recall, I trimmed my PF vine some at the beginning because all the energy was going into making the long vine and leaves so there' wasn't enough left for the flowers. Don't try it unless you ask someone where you bought it though because I'd hate to cause yours an early demise😯

Robin233 · 23/11/2021 12:34

@SwtPeasOnEarth
It maybe doesn't like its position as years ago I had a clematis on that wall that didn't do a lot - west facing

The 2 clematis on the south facing wall do great.
We will see how it goes I'm the next few years

Robin233 · 28/11/2021 12:18

Beautiful @AnneKipankitoo! Very festive, and looks like the sun was shining too.

Great work @Robin233! Planters are looking good too.

I'm jealous that your garden is starting a new fresh cycle @SwtPeasOnEarth! It's very much winter here, a fresh start is a long way away...

The snow has arrived early this year here. It's left me in a bit of a pickle though, I recently bought some (quite a few!) last minute spring bulbs (I was sucked in by a bargain sale!) and then the snow arrived unexpectedly. Now I don't know where to plant them as the locations I had in mind are impossible now! 😬

@beautyisfoundwithin
Thanks
Are you in US?

beautyisfoundwithin · 01/12/2021 15:33

@Robin233 No, I'm in Germany, in the Bavarian Alps, right close to the border with Austria. We get quite a lot of snow, but not normally as early as this, it normally starts in mid December and falls quite heavily in January.

Santapankitoo · 01/12/2021 19:50

Lovely @Robin233
That is a lot of snow @beautyisfoundwithin.

applecatchers36 · 03/12/2021 17:07

They all look to be doing very well Robin paper whites are great narcissus where did you get your bulbs from?

For all UK based gardener's on the thread Aldi has some big Christmas wreaths with pine cones, red berries etc. .for £10 really nice

Robin233 · 05/12/2021 09:06

@applecatchers36
They were from a local nursery and had actually started growing in the packet.
I tried to grow regular narcissus earlier but all the roots went soggy - they've now been planted in the garden.

Sounds like a bargin at Aldi , Morrisons ones are 20. Very good though.

SwtPeasOnEarth · 05/12/2021 18:37

@Robin233
Thank you for the updates...you've done such a nice job on all your plantersXmas Smile
I'm on the East Coast right now...strange weather...70 degrees and lots of leaves still on the trees although they are turning..also roses and azaleas still blooming..it's covid, I tell ya!Xmas Confused

SwtPeasOnEarth · 05/12/2021 18:39

Last year when we ran out of garden colour I think that we posted photos of our Christmas trees, etc...I say, ' think' because it has been a very long year.

Santapankitoo · 05/12/2021 19:21

Picked out tree out yesterday.

Nice @Robin233

SwtPeasOnEarth · 06/12/2021 04:00

@Santapankitoo
Oh good looking forward to seeing it.. is it be the same variety as last year?
Your amaryllis looks healthy and should have a beautiful bloom for Christmas...my mum used to try and send her sister one through the US mail...it would always arrive with the planting mix scattered all over the inside of her Christmas package...DA was confused on the first Christmas...she couldn't work out why my mum had sent her a box of dirt for a giftXmas Grin

SwtPeasOnEarth · 06/12/2021 16:32

Thank you, SANTA and Robin..it is nice to look out and see a bit of colour still left on the bushes.
@Santapankitoo
That's right! I remember I'd never heard of that variety of tree before last year🎄Xmas Smile
