We have been extremely blessed...the views are drop dead gorgeous...only problem with living near the ocean is that we're too busy carrying on with life to get to enjoy much time at the beach
I'll let ya'll in on a Hollywood secret...the water in the Pacific is icy cold...wetsuits even in the summer. I've no idea how films showing people swimming or surfing are made unless several stunt doubles are used so the frozen actors can rotate for a thawing out...same for television shows..Baywatch, Gidget ( lol, remember that one with Sally Fields)

My favourite Acer, Sango Kanu. Lime green in spring, then through all the autumn shades. In winter, when the leaves have fallen it has scarlet stems.

Isn't little Princess Charlotte adorable in this photo?..I think she should join this thread since she appreciates colour and fragrance of flowers at such a young age...her mum is teaching her well

Beautiful pink camellia blossoms on a bush that is actually a tree! We went to Mission San Juan Capistrano on Saturday and stopped to have a coffee at a table under said tree. I didn't know what kind it was until I looked way above my head and noticed the Beautiful pink blooms. The bush/tree must be very very old.

The birdies in the camellia tree weren't too thrilled with us having our coffee below them...they kept flitting around causing bits to fall on my head...but it turned out to be a good thing because I looked up and saw the beautiful flowers

We were visiting downtown Los Angeles yesterday and whilst looking out the car window when we were stopped at a traffic light, I spotted this perfect pink flower growing amongst some weeds from a crack in the kerb...it was so lovely that I decided to share it with you all probably the only people who won't think me a nut
There was a driver in the lane closer to it who saw me trying to take the photo...he patiently waited until I snapped the photo to move on so he wouldn't block my shot...we looked at each other and shared a moment of understanding about the little pink flower that grew in Los Angeles😂
