Not much happening here… roses look set to bloom again 🙏
Definitely a touch of autumn in the air… blackberries and anemones Smile

Beautiful @applecatchers36

beautyisfoundwithin · 14/08/2021 13:19

Gorgeous photos! I'm envious of all of the beautiful Roses as always 😁

Great photo of the bee 🐝 @BadlydoneHelen!

Loving the Dahlias too, I've had none at all this year, think the slugs well and truly destroyed them all sadly.

So many bright colourful blooms on your Fuchsia @notsogreenthumb!

No autumn in the air here yet, finally some summer sunshine after a very rainy summer. I've got Sunflowers blooming, managed to catch a butterfly and a bee in one, and my plan to grow Sweet Peas up Sunflowers actually worked! (I tend the have lots of grand plans that don't always work out!).

Also sharing a new Cosmos I tried this year that I'm quite pleased with.

I discovered gardening this year and am hooked. It's so lovely to see all the pictures and giving me ideas what to grow next year.
I have a mandaville which I got from tesco for £12 and these are two of my ten clematis which are doing well.

@beautyisfoundwithin your lillies are beautiful! I picked up a Lily the other day on the shelf of death so I'm hoping for some results after it's had a bit of tlc

beautyisfoundwithin · 16/08/2021 17:42

Fingers crossed for you @ImprobablePuffin. They come back every year too!

WobblyLondoner · 17/08/2021 12:52

So many lovely photos since I last checked in. Those lilies! And I love the echinacea - gorgeous colours.

For once I can post a photo, so here are two from me. The first is my new favourite, persicaria - helped I think by how wet it's been in London.

And this thing of wonder is the wildflower area in Edinburgh botanic garden a few weeks ago. Amazing.

@ImprobablePuffin Prompted by your picture I've just looked at the creeping Jenny I planted a few years ago as ground cover. It is certainly the spreader ....

applecatchers36 · 19/08/2021 08:47

Mine is settling in well in its cage. And in its cage it shall remain 😂

ImprobablePuffin · 19/08/2021 21:41

My update is that Strawberry Hill is coming along nicely and I bought this hebe from the shelf of death that is a little bee magnet!

Stunning pictures from everyone. I love that everything is in full bloom now

@ImprobablePuffin those are so beautiful 😍

notsogreenthumb · 20/08/2021 11:37

Because I have issues I've bought some more flowers 😬🙊

I'll have to go out and snap some pictures of them later. Here is one of them and a bee and red admiral

The anemones have arrived... I do love the simplicity of the flower, and the thick cut petals as they are emerging from their buds. But the pale pink one is a bit of a thug and I need to contain it a bit more than I have done in the past.

It feels autumnal here in London. As well as soggy...

Beautiful anemones. I miss these I had lots in my old garden. Our agapanthas have completely taken over this year, I need to divide them and put some in pots but they are lovely at the moment and the house is full of them.

Those are lovely agapanthus @Pokhora. I'm about to plant up a sunny area in my front garden and have been thinking of planting one of the dwarf ones - liliput I think it's called.
